Fatty Fish is the rare restaurant that raises food to art form. We’ve eaten a lot of sushi over the years, and Fatty Fish is the best we’ve visited on any coast, by far. I’m no culinary expert, but from my vantage the chefs at Fatty Fish are masters in their work and we can be thankful they’re here.
The presentation was subtle and classy, but the balance of textures and flavors in every roll was absolute perfection. We tried three rolls and they were all bullseyes. The miso soup as an appetizer was like enjoying a warm hug. Green tea came served in a generous pot and a small cup so that each pour quickly reached the desired temperature perfect for enjoyment.
Service was warm, attentive and friendly. They have a bar with high stools to sit at and watch the masters work, but we sat at a table. This is not a huge restaurant – tables are limited which makes it feel more intimate. Lighting is just right – neither too dim nor too bright. They played light music at a low volume which was perfect to blend with other voices and provide some degree of privacy for talking. Overall it is as if they spent considerable time and thought adjusting every single detail to improve the dining experience – their level of attention to detail and consideration is such a rarity.
We visited late, so didn’t have to wait for a table, but this is a place where we definitely would. Prices were reasonable, especially after experiencing how carefully the meal was prepared. Fatty Fish is the rare restaurant where you don’t leave full, but leave with something much better – the absence of hunger. Most highly recommend Fatty Fish – it’s an experience not to be missed.

Our first time here. I don’t really do reviews for restaurants. This is my second time doing a review. And my wife is the one that asked me to do it. And she is really really picky. We ordered the omakase. From start to end everything was high-quality. And if you like wasabi. They had fresh wasabi and pickled wasabi.OMG THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM!

Don’t blow up my spot too much but this is by far the best sushi place I’ve have been to and I have been to ALOT of different ones. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, the place is clean and the staff are wonderful. Well priced and sushi comes in a timely manner. We need more places like this that do it right. 10/10.

loved this place! the fish was such great quality and so fresh. beautiful presentation. we got the sashimi and sushi lunch special. the oysters in particular were incredible! the green tea was so delicious. lovely atmosphere—very clean and chill. server (Cindy) was very kind and helpful, as well as the sushi chefs! eating here was a wonderful experience and i can’t wait to come back! thank you:)

Really delicious rolls! Very unique flavors that came together perfectly! Looking forward to going back and working our way through the signature rolls. They’re sashimi was super fresh and served over ice so every bite was perfectly cold throught the meal!

Staff were kind and polite. Atmosphere is nice. Presentation of food and quality of fish was very good for the price we paid. We order a sushi sashimi combo and two hand rolls (spider and salmon I believe) they take their time with the food and it shows in the care they put into your meal

Great sushi – we were frequent patrons of the Fatty Fish restaurant in New York City so were eager to try this new west coast version. Sushi and tempura dishes were excellent! Fish is super fresh as one would expect in this location. Service friendly and fast. With the loss of the New York location, this restaurant is my whole short list of choices. Fatty Fish Everett has a very fine order for pickup service – always fresh and ready when they say.
