What a great atmosphere with even better food!!! I was greeted by Fatt Mama and was immediately welcomed in to a warm, homey environment away from the freezing temperatures. I ordered the fried catfish platter with an addition of hush puppies and it was amazing. All served very fresh and hot from the fryer. What an amazing hidden gem in Oshkosh!

When we walked in we were kindly greeted by the owner, Fat Momma. She clearly explained any questions we had about the food and was very up front food was fresh made so we knew it wouldnt be fast service. Despite that, she still made our order of Catfish Po in good time and made us feel at home and even gave us a sample of the catfish on its own(AMAZING).
When I got my mouth on that sandwich, I was in heaven. Might I say best damn food I have had in the Fox Valley. GO HERE! IT DOES NOT DISAPOINT!

We had lunch at Fatt Mamaas and it was delightful! The owner was a wonderful God-loving woman with a great sense of humor and a passion for cooking great comfort food. I had the BBQ pork sandwich which was so tender along with very tasty homemade cole slaw. My lunch partner had the shrimp po boy. The shrimp were crunchy and plentiful with a light spicy sauce. It was delicious. Plus, I cannot tell you the last time I had hot flavorful fries, but these were awesome! We will be going back on a Friday to try her catfish. Looking forward to another excellent meal.

What a great surprise to find a restaurant with a whole lot of soul…in the food as well as the restaurateur. Stopped in after my son had a hard workout at UW-Osh Kosh for football camp and was looking for a spot afterwards with strong reviews. Fatt Mamaa’s did not disappoint. I haven’t had catfish w hot sauce and collard greens since my days working at St Joes in Milwaukee. Her seasoned coating on the catfish was full of flavor and remained crunchy with each bite. The collard greens were warm and earthy with a smoky quality to them. My son had a great cheesesteak loaded with meat. He ate it up quickly. Highly recommend and will definitely stop here again

If you’re looking for a “hole in the wall” delicious food spot. This is it. Would have never guessed that this place was everything I dreamed of being. Ended up in Oshkosh for work, and came to Fatt Mamaas half an hour before they closed. Didn’t want to be “that guy”, so offered to not get food, but the owner was the sweetest most mom like welcoming person I’ve ever met in my life. She was absolutely amazing. I would come back just for her. But I was absolutely blown away with the food. We got the Italian beef, and a shrimp po boy. Some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The flavor and seasoning of literally everything was spot on. From the meat, to the sauces, to the side of potato salad. I wish I lived closer to this place! If you’re in the Oshkosh area. Go give this place a shot! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

After a long walk around Oshkosh, Fatt Mamas was a welcoming oasis. Immediately we felt like we had come home, if home was a place where delicious food exists. My catfish poboy was tender, flaky, amazing sauce. Everything you would want, and would not expect to find in the middle of Wisconsin.

Wow! I went to Fat Mama’s for lunch with my family of 8, and everyone in the family was completely happy with their meal (which in my family, never happens). I got the shrimp po boy and collard greens, which were both delicious. Fat Mama makes everything herself and is so so so kind to all of her customers. There was also self serve kool aid that was super sweet and tasty. You have to check it out!

A hidden gem! Amazing, authentic menu and food was great. You will always find the best food at a little spot like this, only this goes a step further and has the most welcoming atmosphere. Even more impressive is the owner. She does everything herself and is incredibly sweet and humble. We’ll for sure be back!

Stumbled upon this little corner of heaven by happenstance, and it was the best thing that could have happened. Every dish was perfectly seasoned – confident, bold flavors without being overpowering. Each bite was memorable, and the seasoning elevated the food rather than masking it. The chef knew exactly how to let flavor lead. Easily the most flavorful meal I’ve had in a very long time and won’t soon forget it.
