I was in the area and saw this BBQ restaurant. Actually a building where they smoke the meats outback .There is just walk up window.
They have some out door seating and a large bar area for seating.
I wanted to order the wings but they didn’t have any. So I ordered the rib basket. I got a choice of mild or hot sauce. It came with fries. The fries were mostly bits and pieces.
The rib are pork spare and are ok.

To start, I stood at the counter for no less than 5 minutes before any one acknowledged me – fine. I ordered a full rack with collard greens and baked beans. The ribs tasted great, although certain parts appeared to be undercooked. Collards and beans were on point. The beans however, due to their intense heat warped the Styrofoam container… that melted plastic has to be getting into that food! The low stars is because the food ultimately gave me a the runs as if I was training for a marathon. This, coupled with the service and parking fiasco does not bode well for this establishment. You’d be better off elsewhere.

It’s best to know right away that you can enjoy your meals much better if you just take them home with you. There are tables and chairs here but they’re not conducive for staying. It’s humid, at least at the time we were there. We had the combo chicken and ribs. Excellent yellow-color sauce. The corn bread is almost like cake, probably the best corn bread I had ever. Had I known it was that good, I could have ordered plenty. Friendly service! There will be a next time for sure.

First time visiting this place and we are very happy with the food. We ordered the rib family dinner with Mac & cheese and collard greens. The servings are very plentiful. More then we expected.
The only bad thing is no inside seating. It’s either take out or sit in the outside area. Luckily for us the weather was perfect and we enjoyed sitting outside.
We met Reggie, the owner, cooking in the back and enjoyed a great conversation with him. Thanks Reggie!

After a long day of work, this was exactly what i needed. A great portion of food, my beans were tasty. The mac and cheese was delicious! I wish I had more and the 1/4 chicken was really good. The bbq sauce is good and sweet too. This was my first time and definitely will come back whenever I’m in t he area!

I visited the lauderhill location after hearing so many great reviews and I must say I was very disappointed. I ordered the chicken and rib combo, some being lukewarm and some being cold. They gave me more chicken, two regular sized ribs. One rib had a lot of fat on it and the rest was only a few chunks of rib. There wasn’t much sauce on it. The mac&cheese and pigeon peas&rice was alright. I wanted a slice of red velvet cake but they had no cake at all. I don’t think that the combo was worth $16.99 at all. I’m sorry I won’t be returning again because I feel as if it was a waste of money.

Not only was the food amazing but they have the most honest people working there. We had bbq ribs and it was mouth watery good! My mom left her purse hanging on her seat and didn’t realize it until she got home…..to Kendall! She jumped back in the car and drove all the way back and and they had it waiting for her to return. The purse had no ID in it and $486 in CASH and not a single penny was missing. You don’t see this type of story. Spread the word about this amazing place!!

The best barbecue around, hands down! As you drive into the parking lot, see the smokers going and get a whiff of the meat cooking, you’ll start to salivate! I usually get the rib meal which costs $13. You get your choice of regular or hot sauce, when I say hot, it has just a tiny bit of heat. It consists of about 7 thick and meaty rib pieces smoked to perfection. Then your choice of 2 sides: mac n cheese, pigeon peas and rice, coleslaw, collard greens, baked beans and more. All the sides are delicious. Lastly, you get a peice of cornbread. It’s handmade with just the right amount of moistness and buttery flavor. They also offer a fairly wide range of handcrafted desserts from cakes to pies and puddings. Be aware, the meal portions are large and I usually turn it into two meals. Every time I’m in the area, I make sure to go here. The staff is very friendly and reliable. The building is very small with only a few tables outside, so I suggest getting it to go! They don’t have a fountain drink machine, but do offer cans and have fresh made tea and lemonade!

Hands down the best barbecue in Fort Lauderdale. The service is lacking at times. But there’s only one cashier and the line can get out of the door. Even with the line being long the wait isn’t unbearable. They have a unique barbecue sauce that seems to be more mustard-based however it is sweet in flavor. Something that is unique to their ribs. They also have great desserts. If you’re trying to diet stay away!
