A total disappointment honestly. Absolutely not a fan of the seafood gumbo. It tastes fresh like sea water specifically the crawfish and the seasoning of the gumbo honestly did not taste like gumbo. I also was not aware pork sausage was included in their recipe but when i called to confirm after we received our order the hostess (or whoever picked up the phone) hung up on me without properly finishing my call or addressing my concern. The service picking up the food was subpar and staff were unhelpful and confused. Our food sat out for a while before they could figure out our order was even existing even though we had already paid. Unfortunately, I will not be returning here for service. This was my experience but please find out for yourself.

Ordered the lunch special. Philly egg roll with fries and drink. Went inside took the lady 5-10min to come to the front. My food look and tastes terrible! Old refried egg rolls. The seasoned fries and canned drink was the only thing good with this meal.

I’ve visited fatboy kitchen before and the food was good, which is why I returned with a couple of coworkers for lunch. We arrived around 1:30 PM and were given a lunch menu, We sat down and waited 30 minutes or more just to have our order taken. During that time, we noticed a QR code on the table that allowed us to order online—this was never mentioned to us.
I understand the waitress was working alone, and we were patient and understanding. However, it became frustrating when other guests who arrived after us were served first. When the waitress finally came to our table (about 30–40 minutes later), some of us had already ordered online, while others wanted to order the lunch special from the menu we were given.
At that point, we were told the lunch special could no longer be honored because it was after 2:00 PM. This was confusing and frustrating since we had been there since 1:30 and the delay was due to understaffing—not our choice. In my opinion, the lunch price should have been honored, or at least a manager should have been consulted given the situation.
To add to the frustration, there was a drink special advertised at the table. When we asked for it, we were told it was only for dinner and would cost more. If a special isn’t available, it shouldn’t be advertised at the table. On top of that, several menu items were unavailable.
Unfortunately, when the food did arrive, it was overly salty, which added to the overall disappointment.
Overall, we tried to be graceful and patient because we understood the staffing issue. However, the lack of communication, long wait time, unhonored menu pricing, unavailable items, and food quality made this a very disappointing experience. Better communication and flexibility—especially when delays are the restaurant’s fault—would have gone a long way.

Some of the food can be slightly over salted but the overall taste is fantastic! I had a great experienced and liked everything. My 2 year old daughter loved the fries and Mac & Cheese. My husband got a curry flavored dirty rice bowl and I couldn’t stop eating it. It had the flavors of soul food and Jamaican curry combined. Pricing was very affordable, and the workers were polite and worked hard to make sure the customer was satisfied.

I got the flounder & shrimp plate with fried orka & collard greens. Breading was falling off the fish & shrimp. Shrimp seemed under cooked. Greens were too salty. Fried orka was soggy from green juice. This was a wasted $20. I won’t be going back & don’t recommend.

Nice spacious restaurant. We were not greeted on arrival and had to figure out where we had to go, which was to the back counter, to order. But our hostess/waitress was nice. The wait for the food was not long, and it was good. The choice of music that the waitress played was good. Great music selection. We will definitely return! Thank you for good food and good service.

We came here fully prepared to be served good food! I was still excited even knowing I spent 30$ on a seafood boil (which I believe isn’t a bad price). After cracking my first two legs, the taste of the legs taste more and more weird. The texture felt rubbery. And everything just tasted like a weird fishy taste. After three crab legs I was done. My mom gave me her burger but to my surprise , it was because it tasted weird as well . The wings were good tho, I didn’t try but my sister dogged the whole container( the cook kept making our food to go). I’d hate for someone to waste money , promise there better places. No hate to the workers, very nice women took our order. But after seeing the reviews and everyone getting a stank eye , I didn’t bother to complain. Just hoping the food quality becomes better in the years if I decide to try it again because the atmosphere was nice to go w friends.

For 41.00 I was disappointed. Shrimp was not fully cooked, fish unseasoned. I also got the Philly cheesesteak with cheese fries and the Philly was decent just a little salty. I can say everything was fresh but just not to my standards. Atmosphere was great, great customer service, very clean inside and a nice vibe. The food was not the best.

I was told that this place had good food. This was my first experience and more than likely it will be my last. I had my fiance order us something from the menu. I ordered the fish poboy sandwich (which I didn’t know it came with fries) and a side order of tots. My fiance ordered an oyster poboy. When we received our food it was like room temperature and it was cooked in old grease. The fries I couldn’t eat because of the taste and most of them were hard , but I did finish the sandwich and now I feel sick to my stomach. Oh the tartar sauce they put in the bag tastes like it had been sitting on the shelf too long. FIFO (First In, First Out), rotate your product and change your grease. Last time for me

My fiancé took me here for dinner tonight I got the fish and shrimp platter, 8 pcs of shrimp, 2 pieces of whiting fish, fries, hush puppies and Mac and cheese. We got it to go the food was freaking amazing service was great I forgot to ask the lady that helped us her name she was very friendly and she made my drink as well. I had a margarita while we waited for our food it was great as well. 10 out of 10 experience for me we will be back for sure!!
