Definitely a little gem in Phenix City My husband and I come through Phenix City twice a year and normally stop at Waffle house. We wanted some good country cooking this time and decided to try something different. Glad we did!! Fat Momma Lucy’s was perfect!! The food was DELICIOUS!! The young lady that served us was so friendly!! Chatted with us the entire time we were there!! This will definitely be our fav spot to eat when we come through!!

My husband and I tried Fat Mama Lucy’s this evening. My husband had the fried ribs with cabbage and mashed potatoes w/ gravy. I had the fried chicken with fried okra and yams. Both plates came with cornbread. Everything single thing was hot and delicious. The cornbread was a masterpiece. We had a surprise carrot cake slice in the bag and it was 10/10. I cant wait to go back and try more. This is truly a gem for Ladonia.

My wife and I are always looking for small hole in the wall restaurants. We found it. Fat Momma Lucy was amazing. The fried pork ribs were amazing and if you are wondering i am going to quote Momma Lucy. “It’s like eating fried fish and ribs at the same time. My wife order the ribs and I order the cheese burger. I am a sucker for a homemade burger. We shared our plates and the food was delicious. Side note: if you want real southern sweet tea and lemonade, this is the spot.

Maaaan, listen to me, nah. I have a magnetic intuitive super sense when I’m around some soul food. I just happened to be in the area, and said lemme see what this place tawm bot. I got the lunch special. I knew it was lit when the black eyed peas was out. Mama made my food fresh on the spot. Great soul food. This is a hidden gem. I wanted to try since they were in Crawford. Finally got my chance, and they didn’t disappoint. This is real FOOD, not some salty chicken and greens like most people sell. I will be going back!
