This place is a little hidden and a TOTAL gem.
I tried the enchilada danish and just wow. I didn’t know a danish could be THAT good. I normally don’t order a danish because I’m more of a savory than sweet person. This was truly out of this world. I dream about that danish. The people are also incredible and super kind. Love love love

The store is located in a little corner right next to a restaurant which is perfect if you want to eat and then get a sweet treat. When entering the bakery you have the dedicated Bakery area with their items available and to the left is a art corner with accessories that would be perfect for gifts. There is seating in store but there is a very nice area outside to eat once you get your items.I purchased the gold bar and it was very yummy with a peanut butter crunch finish!

Fat City Eats always hits. Whether it’s a huge order or a drop in. They always have the best treats. I highly recommend. My favs are the Mexican chocolate croissant, the gold bar, brownies, and the danish. Yummy!!!

If you’re looking for a spot for coffee and awesome croissants. Check out Fat City Eats, Treats & Sweets. From the moment you walk in the smells of fresh croissants and other baked goods hit you.

I ordered an Americano with caramel, Green Chile Chedder & Biscochito Chocolate Croissants, a Scooby Snack, and a Gold Bar. The Green Chile Cheddar croissant is a taste of New Mexico, a little sweet and a little heat.
The Biscochito Chocolate croissant is all around super tasty. Both croissant are flaky and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. A perfect pairing with my coffee.

The Scooby Snack is a really good sweet treat. It has a little bit of everything in it. Now for the Gold Bar, that took me back to grade school instantly. Overall you can’t go wrong with ordering anything from here. Definitely will be a returning customer and would recommend to anyone wanting a good start to their day.

I ordered the chocolate chili cake for my husbands 40th birthday on Thursday for pickup on Saturday. It was so dry and gross, I honestly wonder if they made it on Thursday and let it sit out until pickup. For $50, I was really disappointed. Everyone commented it was dry and tasted nothing like chili. Kind of embarrassing! Giving this place a few stars because the cookies I ordered were better. The gold bars were pretty gross but the cookie variety was decent. Overall I’m so bummed by this neighborhood spot. I really wanted to like it!

The gal behind the counter gave the wrong item to the person in front of us, but the customer realized it and corrected the worker. We didn’t think to double check our order and get home (45 minutes away) and realize she gave us the wrong item as well. Unbelievable incompetence. Atmosphere: only 2 seats in the shop. Otherwise, you’ll sit outside if the weather is decent. Won’t bother going back.

And, hello “Owner”. In response to your response , you need to get your facts straight. More incompetence, I see.

The brownie is taken out of fridge and served cold. So, it was very hard and not fudgy!!
Danish is ok ok.
Coffee is nice.
We paid $13.46 for coffee, brownie and danish which is expensive for the quality of brownie.
Idk why there are awesome reviews for this place on Google!!

Fat City is AMAZING! My wife and I have been to numerous bakeries across the ABQ area and this one stands out with their flavor and quality. Plus, they support local vendors and artists and their shop is awesome. Highly recommend giving them a try if you’re in the area!

I love that they support local artists. The desserts were great. If you buy 6 things you get 1 free. They have vegan treats on the weekend.

Ok folks, this bakery is the real deal! My wife and I walk through the neighborhood of this bakery a few times a week on our daily walks. A few weeks ago, we were enticed by a heavenly aroma that ended at the Fat City Bakery.
I know, it’s a weird time now, but the folks at this bakery are solid chill. Just hearing the daily litany of available treats will settle you into your comfort zone!
But I digress. This bakery does it right. If you are going to splurge, splurge right. Look at the layers on these croissants! Light, flaky goodness. But croissants are just the start. Cookies, Danishes, and so much more. Just do it! Stop by and visit this really nice bakery, you’ll be glad you did!
