Reviews
I stopped in earlier today with my other half for the first time with no expectations other than knowing what I had seen on the online menu sounded pretty good.
I left thoroughly pleased.
The food was phenomenal, the fellas I talked to that worked there were wonderful guys and down to earth, and I personally liked the simple dining area. Genuine and not overdone, ya’know?
Got myself a Stromboli, the other half got herself some boneless wings, and we got fries to share.
The fries were fair-fries, as the fiancee called them, and they were spot on. Maybe could have used a bit more salt, but that’s a personal taste. That said, they stayed crisp for our entire time that we were there and you don’t get that with fries too often, so that was awesome.
My Stromboli was a medium and I still had to take half of it home. Really, really good and would say to get an extra marinara to go with. The thing was actually filled with the ingredients and not half-assed like some of the places you may come across. 10/10 on that Stromboli that I still have to finish.
I got to take a bite of the other half’s boneless wings, and though I do not personally care for boneless, she got honey bbq, the bite I took was VERY good. Good flavor, good consistency of chicken. If you like boneless, would recommend based off that one bite I had. That said, I asked her and she gave them a solid 8.5/10, so do with that what you will.
PS: If you like Spicy -not just hot, there is a clear difference between spicy and hot- sauce, give their Louisiana Hot a go. Nice slow-burn into a good heat that lingers over the course of 3-5 seconds and has a good flavor/consistency.
Here at fat Angelo’s I order a cheese steak sub that took about 20 minutes to receive it I sit down to eat inside the place and when I open the sub up I thought to myself wow This thing is huge and when he handed the sub to me I thought man that’s heavy that’s got to be loaded, But once I took a bite the salt It’s my throat and I’m like oh my God what the heck But I was so hungry I worked my way through half of that sub until I was just like I can’t finish this it was that salty. Now people who know how to cook know that this is a no-no You do not pour salt on customer’s foods you let them do that themselves It’s just restaurant 101. So that ruined this beautiful sub that was loaded. I did tell the guy at the front about it and he said, OH. I’ll have to check the meat. I wasn’t looking for a refund just maybe something a little more than that maybe something like oh I’m sorry man we’ll get you in the next one Make sure we watch that salt nonsense from now on. I would have gave them five stars for the sub but I do want to try their pizza because it looks amazing and I think they have the biggest pizza you ever seen in your life that you can order.
So my final note for this review is You have got to have cooks who know what they’re doing and who move quickly if you’re going to be successful in the food business.
