A quiet old timey bar in a quiet old timey town, Gridley. I have a lot of very fond memories in Gridley and knowing this is the only place to get real pizza in Gridley, I made it a bucket list item to pass through and try it. Unfortunately I made one of my final visits to Gridley on Sunday, May 18, 2025, but I still did finally try Fat Albert’s. The pizza was delicious and so rich and flavorful that I could only eat two slices before I was full and brought the rest home for leftovers. It was so impressed. Even when inside the bar, the owner was super polite and friendly. It’s all quiet and nothing bad to report. (Written 5-25-25)

A FANTASTIC little hole in the wall on the beaten path in Gridley, IL. It’s a quaint old schools small town bar and grille. Good service, slow cooking, which tells me it’s REAL food, and it tastes like it! Fantastic Fat Burger. One patty beef and one patty sausage with Fat sauce!!! We will make it a destination out of our way!!! Onion rings and fries were all eaten up as well! There is a soda for those who prefer one brand over another. Going back for more!
