Been going here well over twenty years. The waiting staff are friendly. There’s gonna be leftovers like eating with family. You can go intimate in the dining area or old diner style. Can’t go wrong with chicken fried steak..

I was really looking forward to going here last night because I’d heard about how great the food was. I was disappointed when it took over an hour to get our meals and the excuse was my husband ordered a 5 course meal so that takes time. He ordered chicken fried steak that came with a soup, salad, & seafood cocktail so I guess that’s considered a 5 course meal. We ended up getting our food to go because by the time it was coming out my 11year old daughter was falling asleep at the table. I guess it wouldn’t have been quite as bad if the service itself had been better. Needless to say we won’t be going back there. Unfortunately I’m not able to give a zero star rating.

Travelers beware! This restaurant is convenient to the Holiday Inn Express and you might feel tempted to just walk over and give it a try. Do not go there!!! All the negative reviews should be believed. The food was not fresh but from a can of box and it tasted like card board at best. The service was very slow and the reason is beyond my understanding since nothing was being prepared from scratch. We paid way too much for what we got and therefore we would never recommend this place. Trust the dated and warn down appearance as a sign that this place has lost it’s former glory completely and move on to any place else.

This restaurant has been here for years. It has a lot of throwback menu items you don’t see anymore such as their ground beef steak (aka Salisbury steak). They have a full course dinner at very reasonable prices with wait staff service. Some of their appetizers were only so-so such as the fruit coctail and seafood salad. Their main entree and dessert (ice cream or bread pudding) was much better.

I travel for work and eat all kinds of foods from all over the country. This is one of the worst restaurants I’ve been too. The food is what you would find in a bad retirement home. Yes, the prices are cheap, but you get what you pay for. It wouldn’t have been as bad if the service was good, but that was not the case. Our waitress didn’t smile the entire service. Every request we had, she would reply as if it was putting her out.

The service and food was great!! Extremly busy due to the fact they will be closing their doors at the end of the month. It’s the only place I know of that you get appetizers, soup, salad and drink included with your main dish for one very reasonable price. They will be truly missed

Decent food covered in gravy, salad covered in salad dressing, kind of easy and nothing too impressive but it’s hard to complain too much because it’s priced right. The bar has nothing to get excited about but she’s a nice lady bartender. She doesn’t know the first thing about good booze.

This place has really let itself go, not saying it was ever much to begin with, very little in the way of customer service and the wait staff could learn to smile more as well as the uniforms are so drab. Not my choice for a good meal. They really need to brighten up the place and the employee’s.

Vintage American diner/dining room/bar. Each room has it’s own atmosphere, making each feel like a different restaurant, except for the same menu and service. Generous portions, great service, fair prices. Try the fried chicken, roast beef, chicken fried steak, or the breaded veal cutlet.

This is one of Madera’s oldest restaurants. I don’t think it has been updated in a very long time, but the food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. Meals come with an appetizer, soup, salad, bread and dessert so you will not leave hungry. They have a pretty good selection; from sandwiches and burgers to chicken fried steak or fish. Its a diner type feel and they have a bar also. The servers here are really sweet.
