Featured in USA today and other magazines this historic restaurant ( one of oldest in Florida) lives up to the hype and is a must visit in the area!!! Fantastic country fried steak, mac/cheese, rolls, mashed potatoes and green beans. Only disappointment was the lack of quantity of chocolate cream pies! Peanut butter pie is good if you like peanut butter! I even bought a T shirt to wear in pride for the goodness of this restaurant! Several women working have been there for 56 years!

It’s been a few years since we visited. It was so good then, pre Covid, I wanted to make sure it was still good. It is. It’s a good example of down home cooking. The chicken and sides were wonderful. We ate a piece of in restaurant chocolate cake and was greeted with a mouthful of Non organic ingredients. The cake blasted my wife and I into a sugar rush. Evacuation though they made it in house it was made with outside ingredients, it was not pleasant. We have to travel several hundred miles to eat here, We will go back.

I visited this place at least once a week for a business meet and greet. I fortunately ordered the same thing each time. The fried fish and cheese grits with bacon and eggs. My colleagues were excited to try different things and was pleased each time. If you are seeking a small mom and pop breakfast this is the place. The food is seasoned well and served hot. The staff have a welcoming attitude towards costumers. Plenty parking space and handicap accessible ramp. I highly recommend

Went for lunch , super busy, but delicious food and attentive service, the turkey special was real roast turkey, good corn fritters and okra and tomatoes. Other diner had three vegetables, fried okra, macaroni and cheese and broccoli. She ate it all!

Used to love this place, today got a breakfast sandwich on a kaiser. Came out on a stale hard hamburger bun. Yeah not happy. No contact from staff after enough time to eat and post this. Update- After 20 minutes contact from table cleaner to take plate.

I ordered liver and onions, coleslaw and green beans. Liver was full of tendons and I probably removed from my mouth half of the liver I was served. I’ve never had coleslaw that tasted like it was full of pepper. The only thing about my dinner that I really enjoyed was the onions and the green beans. Will I go back? No. Will I recommend this restaurant? No.
