My wife has left several positive reviews and I love the barbecue, but last night we got half filled pint dishes of the chicken and dumplings. Never been more disappointed! I love this place but keep the quality up for those that are driving home in carry-out.

I would’ve given one star, but I gave a star because the prices were decent. I did not go in for the buffet but he told me it was 12 something which I thought was such a low amount. I said oh my God I’ll be back then I was thinking it was gonna be like 20-25 bucks or something like that. Well, I can see why it’s so low so I bought the mac & cheese, hush puppies, pulled pork and the barbecue ribs, mustard base. The ribs were awful. They were so dry. We were all so disappointed. I like ribs when the meat falls off the bone cause they’re so juicy and tender. These were so dried up. They were not good at all, way overcooked. I don’t know who y’all hired for a cook in there but you need to fire them and get some real cooks in there that know what they’re doing. I don’t know how you’re cooking your meat But you should change your method. You need to slow cook these for hours. I don’t know how y’all be cooking them, but these are absolutely hideous. The mac & cheese was awful too. I had to spice it up with so much seasoning and throw cheese on it. You can tell it’s old old school mac & cheese but someone that doesn’t know what they’re doing making it.

I was very disappointed. I wanted so much to really like this place. I was so excited that there was a barbecue place in Chapin since I just moved here. I think the hush puppies were the best tasting thing in the bag and they weren’t even the best! I will not be back and I definitely don’t recommend this place for anybody.

Farm Boys Barbecue offered a warm and welcoming buffet experience. I was greeted promptly and received attentive service from the moment I walked in. The staff explained the menu options, drive‑thru service, online ordering, and the buffet setup. I especially appreciated the glove provided for handling the serving utensils — a thoughtful touch.
I chose to dine in, and my only regret is that I enjoyed the food a little too much. The buffet featured a wide variety of vegetables and meats, including fish and shrimp for the Friday after 5 p.m. seafood offering. The fish, shrimp, and hush puppies were the standout items for me, and the coleslaw was also delicious. I didn’t have room left to sample the desserts.
My server kept my drink refilled and was friendly and pleasant throughout my visit.

I would probably rate this higher if it had been near to my arrival in this part of the country because I was pretty high on barbecue when I first got here
At this point I still like it, but I don’t love it because there are no fresh vegetables and I’m completely over pulled pork even with the vinegar sauce

This was my first time visiting this location. The food was delicious; especially the fried chicken. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I admired the fact that the owner was walking around interacting with the customers. I showed me that this place was more than just a restaurant but a neighborhood staple. When I am back in the area, I plan to return.

We stop here on our way from SW Fl to North Carolina and get food to go for the road. One of the best barbecue places that I’ve been to. Really nice people and excellent barbecue. Some of the best hush puppies ever. Pulled pork sandwich with Carolina mustard barbecue sauce is the best.

Delicious food. Love Southern BBQ and I grew up with my family making our own. Those days are long gone but Farm Boy’s does a great job of getting close to my gold standard. Our entire party enjoyed our meal! Staff were attentive, kind and friendly! Recommend!

The food that was available was pretty good, but there wasn’t much of a selection. We went there earlier after an event. I guess After 5pm they add alot more food to the buffet, but when we were there it was just OK. The service was excellent though.
