This was a good experience. We did a business dinner that was critically important and our server Katelyn (sp?) did an excellent job taking care of us. She was attentive, efficient and really great about ensuring we could have an effective discussion. The room was great too. There was room to mix and mingle ahead of time and the acoustics for a large group were excellent (not typical for a room at a restaurant). The food was okay. But the service and the atmosphere were really notable. Thank you!

Good decor, and good service, but the food is subpar for the price.
The $18 Grouper Tartare had too much diced apple as fillers relative to the fish. You can see that in the picture. At this price for an appetizer I’d expect more fish if not all fish.
The Black Rice recommended by the server was just fried rice with some calamari and herbs topping. The rice tasted like a good fried rice, and the calamari was great with a coat of light dressing too, but eating both together didn’t result in synergies.
The sauce of the Gnocchi dish was very mild, to the point that I can only taste the mild sweetness of the gnocchi dumplings. I was hoping the cheese shavings would help, and they did, but there were just so few cheese shavings. In the end I tried to mop up the sauce with the table focaccia (minus the top crust because that did have salt on it), and sure enough the sauce really didn’t taste like anything. The rabbit meat in my opinion did not contribute to the dish that much, either, and can be swapped with a more common protein.

We came here with very high expectations based on the reviews. I’ll say this, it was underwhelming. Our server, Claudio, was awesome! He was attentive, very nice, and very helpful!
For starters, we ordered the Sea urchin tacos, 2 different varieties of oysters, and the smoked trout dip. They also provided some bread, olives, and olive oil. The olives were delicious!
If you love uni, these tacos were delicious; Crunchy and smooth, slightly bitter and sweet from the Uni.
The oysters were fresh, sweet, briny and wonderful!
The smoked trout dip was our favorite. It was Creamy and rich and the crackers were snappy and savory.
For mains we ordered the braised beef short rib ravioli and the tagliatelle bolognese. This is where the underwhelming expectations come in. Both were good but definitely fell flat. The ravioli was better than the bolognese. We may come back but it won’t be for the pasta. Overall, the place is classy but LOUD, the drinks are good, and depending on what you order, it’s not always worth the price tag.

A group of friends went out to celebrate a birthday. We all enjoyed the service, food, and atmosphere. Claudio was our server and did an excellent job explaining the food choices as well as helping us make decisions on our choices for dinner. 2 of us had the Farina Italian Salad and the short rib ravioli. One person’s meal was not prepared as they liked it. Nancy one of the owner/chefs brought a replacement and they loved it. The desserts were 2 coconut cakes and the chocolate pecan tarts which everyone enjoyed.

Phenomenal service and food. The black truffle grilled cheese and mashed potatoes were the best I’ve had. My husband said the veal and oysters were amazing.

Farina exceeded all expectations! The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The rustic-elegant atmosphere added a warm and inviting touch, perfectly complementing the exquisite Italian dishes. Every bite was flavorful, beautifully presented, and a true delight. A top-notch dining experience in every way.

What an awesome experience! The Sardinian black ride was a surprisingly delightful starter, pleasant crunch with a kick! It was probably my favorite dish! We shared a few pastas and starters, and everything was incredible. The wine list was superb and everything we had was delicious. The service was so kind and fun as well. Highly recommend a visit.

Had an amazing time! The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. If you’re visiting Kansas City, you definitely need to make a reservation here.
We started with oysters which were delicious. We also had the Tuna special with an olive tapanade that was truly amazing. Of course the pasta was also delicious. Recommend the Summer Corn Cappelletti with chanterelle mushrooms.
Great atmosphere too that wasn’t too loud and allowed for good conversation.

The food here was amazing and very unique. We had a reservation for my birthday and I’m glad too because it was very packed. We started off with the duck meatballs and clam toast. Then, my fiancé had the tagliatelle bolognse and I had the gnocchi with braised rabbit. Then we finished off the meal with some hazelnut tiramsu. You will drop some money at this place but everything was worth it. The service was amazing. It is a little crowded and loud which makes it hard to conversate at times but I think it was awesome and I would love to go back and try something else new.

While Kansas City might be known best for having an awesome barbecue scene, the food scene is much more. Farina was excellent from start to finish. I recommend the potato gnocchi with roasted lamb and the tagiatelle bolognese pasta dishes. The carbonara was solid and no nonsense. For a main entree, the mozzarella stuffed veal chop was world class. To top off an already amazing meal, the Missouri Peach Trifle was sweet and refreshing. I plan on returning.
