We went here for lunch. The decor is so authentic and homey! The steak manti was amazing. So flavorful with tender steamed pasta and a delicate sauce. Huge portion. I brought half home and my husband enjoyed it for supper. He loved it, too!

Oh my goodness!! This place delivers and matches its reputation. Loved everything my friend and I had here especially the dumplings. The liver kebab was delightful with balanced seasoning. This is easily one of my favorites in the neighborhood. I’ll gradually work my way throughout the menu. Service was amazing with gracious staff and host / owner. I hope more people in FiDi would discover this gem.

Hidden gem in walking distance from the World Trade Center. Great place to spend time with family. First time trying Central Asian Cusine, and the food is amazing, and you should try and share your comment.

This review is not about the food, but about the experience which was ruined by the absence of common sense. We ordered manti, plov, umka, lagman, salad and drinks, and as soon as we started eating, the waitress brought the last dish and accidentally leaned over so that the glass of water shattered. Part of the glass spilled on my leg, and there were shards of glass under my feet. Lucky they didn’t hurt me. We moved to another table, the waitress apologized. We said no worries – it happened by accident – and continued to eat. I was sitting with a wet leg for the whole hour. When they brought us the bill, I was surprised and asked if they would like to give us a discount. They didn’t think to remove even one dish or drink.

Loved the uptown location, wanted to see how fidi newly opened one is. Down in the dark cellar dining room with a music/singing booth in a corner. The dishes are very well done with authentic spices and ingredients. Ordered a lot of meat, kabab skewers came out tender and juicy, and desserts finished off a well rounded meal.

The lamb chops were truly delicious! The meat was tender and juicy, with a nice balance of flavor from the seasoning and the natural taste of the lamb. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, giving it a nice sear on the outside while maintaining a pink and tender inside. The portion size was also generous, making it a filling and satisfying meal. The accompanying sauce or sides were also perfectly paired with the lamb chops, adding an extra layer of flavor. Overall, a fantastic dining experience and I highly recommend the lamb chops to anyone looking for a high-quality and delicious meal.

Central Asian cuisine from Kazakhstan regions and Russia. Can’t judge the authenticity but the food is delicious, especially their bread, handmade manti, and kebabs. They also have imported beers and beverages from the region. The festive decor and friendly service justify the price.

First time we went to Farida. Inside it’s very unique (with furniture and decors very traditional), the service is nice and the atmosphere is really great! I went there on a Saturday and it wasn’t full, I was able to seat with my husband without reservation. The best thing there is the live music! The singer has an incredible voice and it’s very pleasant to eat with live music! The music is American (all best hits), perfect for a date night.

The food at Farida is delicious, I would absolutely recommend the Chuchvara and the Kovurma Lagman. The interior is also beautiful and the service is good. The seating we got (table for 2) was a little squished but the experience was still enjoyable. The prices are also a bit high but I would say the food is worth it. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try Halal Central Asian food, and I will absolutely be going back!
