On top of our large selection of bottled craft beers from Japan (the largest in Southern California!), we offer 34 different craft beers on tap. Our craft beers are rotated consistently bringing you the newest and freshest beers and often some rare beers that are hard to find on tap. Our whiskey and bourbon selection is one of the best in Los Angeles. I was in L.A. on a business trip and stumbled across Far Bar while searching for a Happy Hour spot—and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere here is incredible. I kicked things off with the spicy edamame and Ming’s Wings, both packed with flavor and absolutely delicious.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is the vibe. The bartenders are not only skilled but genuinely friendly, offering great food and drink recommendations. The regulars at the bar welcomed me right in, making it feel more like a neighborhood hangout than just a stop on a trip.
If you’re visiting Los Angeles and staying anywhere near Little Tokyo, Far Bar is a must. And take my advice—ask for Nate. He’s an outstanding bartender who makes the experience even better.

Honestly, this place is such a vibe. People were friendly too. Wings were delicious. Literally no complaints. I went solo and sat at the bar between people and ended up conversing with the people on both my sides. If you’re friendly and looking for other friendlies, this might be a good spot to put yourself out there.

This post is not about the food because without a doubt this place is great. Today I will say i came in and me and a group of coworkers were all having a great time, food and drinks were amazing but I cannot get over one gentleman’s attitude tonight. Didn’t catch his name tan fellow with a curly top. I understand if you guys are busy but he was very rude to one of our older coworkers. Uncalled for but like I said food was great. Haha wings were hittin too

Thoroughly enjoyed Far Bar’s happy hour, which runs from 3-7pm Monday to Friday, and all day Monday. Best value play is the Burger Special ($13), which includes fries and a Sapporo or soda.
Wings are also excellent. Will try their shrimp tacos next! Service is awesome and the vibes are casual yet with a classy decor (especially outside). Love this historic spot!

Fun place to have a cocktail and food. Interesting menu items. It gets very busy on weekends. We enjoyed appetizers and entrees. It’s worth a visit. Parking can be a challenge in

Been coming to this bar for quite a few years and there’s been a few changes here and there. Overall though, it’s a bar I still very much enjoy on my days off or right after work.
I love this bar in the morning when it just opens. Tbvh the BEST time to come. You get the special and get to enjoy their patio and the fresh air and plants. Love love loveee this place for that. Staff is really nice and attentive any time of the day.

Food thoughhh hmmm Nawh I wouldn’t do it the fries yes. Idk since they changed their menu I’m not into it tbvh. Portions are too small for how pricy. Too many restaurants around to eat here, mainly a bar.

Had a great meal here. Friendly bartenders. Chatty and friendly but not too much! Great wings! Got one of their fun drinks and it was really good. Switched to beers and also great.

I’m amazed that such great place is so affordable!! I was expecting it to be more expensive but was pleasantly surprised when I saw the menu . Our server was awesome and checked on us a good amount of times, which made it easy to continue ordering new things . The serving size was way bigger than expected for the prices! The only thing I didn’t like were the house whiskeys since they were a bit too smokey for my taste. The shot + beer was a good change since I ordered the Far and Further, which had Japanese whiskey and beer. I would come here all the time if I lived here for sure!!!!

Awesome wasabi fries. Location is pretty cool too, right in front of Miyako Hotel. Staff is knowledgeable with their bourbon. I’ve had Pappy 23, Heaven Hill 20, Parker’s Heritage 24 years, Stagg Jr Batch 17, Old Fitz 11, and GTS 142 proof. Good shot prices, real pour size as well.
