When you walk in, you’re greeted with a complimentary Eddie Special, which is a tempura shrimp with sauce on top..along with miso soup on the house, which was a nice touch. We started with crab wontons and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls to share, both solid appetizers but they had no distinctive wow factors. If you dipped them in the sauce they came with it gives it more flavor but on their own they lack seasoning.
For my entrée, I ordered the crunchy roll. While the flavor was okay, the presentation felt a bit off and messy compared to what I’m used to from sushi spots that really focus on visual appeal. It just didn’t wow me the way I expected.
Surprisingly, the Eddie Special ended up being my favorite bite of the night. I also tried my dad’s Ginza sushi and enjoyed his choice more than my own.
Our server was attentive and friendly, and the pricing is reasonable. Overall, it’s a great spot for a quick bite, even if some dishes shine more than others.

Wonderful food and great service! The staff were kind and friendly. We were greated with complimentary soup & a delicious appetizer. I don’t remember the names of all of the rolls, but the sweet mango one was absolutely amazing and the one on fire was delicious too! 10/10 would eat here again.

Amazing food,service, and atmosphere! the severs are so nice and kind. A very authentic place and a hidden gem. I am extremely satisfied and when I travel down here I will be eating there every time. I highly suggest if you couldn’t tell already.

Wow! Out of town for a dance competition, And this is the best food we had all weekend! Absolutely everything we ordered was amazing! We ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp, Chicken and noodles for my daughter, And it also came with salad and soup, and on top of all of that, they gave us a free serving of lobster Eggrolls. We will be in town every month for the next couple months competition and we are guaranteed to come back each time! Our new favorite place to eat in Lakeland.

We were in Lakeland and searching for a place to have dinner after 9:00 PM on a Sunday night. Most restaurants were closed, but based on great reviews and ratings, we decided to try Fancy Q Sushi & Thai.
Upon arrival, we were quickly seated and greeted by a server who handed us a menu featuring a mix of sushi and Thai dishes.
After reviewing the options and chatting with the server, we ordered Crab Rangoon, Spring Rolls, Crunchy Roll, King Roll, Chicken Red Curry, and Chicken Fried Rice.
Our appetizers — Crab Rangoon and Spring Rolls — arrived first and were both delicious, crispy, and flavorful, making for a great start to our meal.
Next came the sushi rolls. The King Roll was well-prepared and enjoyable, but the Crunchy Roll was a bit of a letdown. We expected a roll with a crunchy texture, but it ended up being more of a standard sushi roll without the crunch we thought.
The main Thai dishes Chicken Red Curry and Chicken Fried Rice, were the highlights of the evening. Both were flavorful, well-balanced, and freshly made.
Overall, Fancy Q Sushi & Thai delivered a great dinner experience.

I’ve been to fancy q many times. Service is usually great. But tonight was horrendous. I would understand if the restaurant was busy, but it wasn’t. We were led to a table and that was it. We sat there staring at the waitress as she plugged in her nights receipts. She didn’t acknowledge us until I complained. She then finally took our order to then again ignore us as she cleaned up other tables. She didn’t bring us our drinks or appetizers until I had to complain yet again. She was either completely new or was just a terrible server. I finally got my dinner and had to complain again that I didn’t even get the soup I ordered. Definitely not a good experience.

Amazing and fast service. You’re welcomed with a free appetizer which was a fried California roll which was delicious. The server who was new was so accommodating and gave great customer service. I was in a mood for jalapeño yellow tail which they did not have in the menu and he accommodated me with sashimi and added the jalapeño and sauce just to satisfy my craving. Any other server would’ve just told me they didn’t have that dish. The food was delicious and the service made it wonderful for my first time there. When the bill came I was shocked how low the bill was. If you want great food at a great price that comes with A1 service I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We absolutely love Fancy Q. It’s out go to spot in Lakeland for sushi. You may or not know that there are a lot of choices when it comes to sushi in Lakeland. We have tried them all. (Been here for 9 years and sushi is our favorite food). When I say it’s the best I mean it. You will agree after you visit Fancy Q.

We came here on the recommendation of our youngest child for a date nite. The first visit to this establishment and definitely not our last we both had steak and shrimp Hibachi !!! As soon as they seated us we were given something called Eddie’s special crab tempra it was fabulous. It is a nice cozy place the service was outstanding only beat out by the meal. There is plenty of parking available.
