Nachos were burnt and stale. They tasted like month old, store bought tostinos. We were told this is how the are always made here. We asked for jalapeños on the side and they were in the nachos. We had to look up their menu online since there wasn’t one provided. We had to ask for silverware since we weren’t provided any. We got what looked like a half order of fries with our burger. Slow server, burnt food, rude server. Definitely do not recommend. If I wanted rude service, I would go to Dicks last resort

We spent three days at the lakefront Lodge. this bar restaurant it’s in the same building. We ate there two days in a row.Nice bar overlooking the lake. You can watch float planes, taking off and landing while you’re eating. They have a nice outdoor deck that wasn’t open when we got there in early May. Unfortunate .Typical bar room food we had the halibut with onion rings, club sandwich, actually two nights in a row and a reindeer sausage sandwich with onions and peppers that was outstanding. Huge side salad, friendly staff loaded with Big game mounts.

I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars. We came in for a simple dinner—just a couple of cheeseburgers—and ended up sitting there for over an hour before anyone even acknowledged we existed.
Our waitress walked past our table at least a dozen times, making eye contact but completely ignoring us. We weren’t asking for a five-course meal; we just wanted to place an order. It is beyond frustrating to watch other tables get served while you’re treated like you’re invisible.
Service is non-existent here. If you value your time and don’t want to spend sixty minutes begging for a burger, go literally anywhere else. Total waste of an evening.

Bartender was awesome – super attentive and friendly. Hats off to the service team!

Food on the other hand, pretty bad. I went for the burger and upgraded to the bison and got a bone dry, over-cooked, charred piece of pre-made frozen patty. $23 burger… come on. Felt like I was at Burger King.

Who knows, maybe the seafood is good…?

If your Native Alaskan dnt come here they dnt believe in you here. I wanted the prime rib dinner for my birthday dinner. Ask the front desk if they serve prime rib. “Yes they do, have a great birthday dinner.” Went in and ordered the prime rib. We dnt have prime rib or anything in the back menu. Well she kept saying we dnt have that!! We dnt have pastas either I felt sorry for the server. I feel for her and hope she gets a birthday prime rib dinner.

Honestly the worst service we have experienced at a bar/restaurant in a very long time. We waited over 10 minutes to be seated and ended up seating ourselves. We waited another 15 minutes with no one even approaching our table. My husband then went to the bar to order and the bar tender ignored him for another 10 minutes whilst she served literally everyone else – not that there were many people at the bar (around 6-8 people). I’m not sure if it’s because they prioritize locals over visitors? Food was average. The cocktails were not great. We just got the impression that none of the staff really wanted to be there and basically resented having to serve anyone!

The Fancy Moose Lounge has a nice atmosphere and decent service, but the food leaves much to be desired. The flavors were underwhelming and lacked character – I’d rate it a three at best.

After breakfast, we had to find another place for a second meal because it just didn’t satisfy. While the setting is pleasant, the restaurant really needs to step up its game when it comes to the quality and taste of the food.

Located on a lake where many float planes land and take off. The atmosphere is nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The chowder on Friday night was delicious. The halibut was cooked to perfection. The spinach wrap with chickpeas and spinach was very good. Did not have to wait for a table. Reasonably priced food and drinks.

Had the calamari squid, and I’ve had better fish sticks at McDonald’s than these flavorless boxed breaded fish sticks for 22$. Service wasn’t much better. Not worth it at all, go across the street to the Mexican place if you stay here. Or the Korean place up the road a little. Multiple times I’ve eaten here hoping for an improvement and it’s always been a disappointment. Avoid.

We stayed in a king suite late September, which is when everything starts to slow way down. The room.. the fridge didn’t work only one window shade could be put up, it has the wonkiest bathtub (the floor of the tub kept moving) and lastly the bathroom door didn’t close… However the FOOD was really good I recommend the crab and artichoke dip or the halibut and chips.very close to airport free shuttle.the back of the hotel has views of the lake, but all the front rooms are all parking lot or dumpster views.
