Excellent quick friendly service. Had a regular size Boston dog which also comes in a foot long option. Dog had snap and the bun was toasted very tasty. Ordered a grilled Ham n Swiss on rye it was just right. Sweet potato waffle fries with cinnamon sugar were recommended by staff. Waffle fries were just ok a little overcooked and under seasoned. Looking for a good hot dog some affordable lunch downtown Norfolk Al’s is a great stop!

Uncle Al’s Hot Dogs is the real deal! I stopped by and tried the Chicago dog and a chili dog with mustard and onion — both were absolutely delicious. The hot dogs were packed with flavor, the toppings were fresh, and everything tasted like it was made with care.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Whether you’re a hot dog lover or just looking for a great quick bite, Uncle Al’s is a must-visit.

This hot dog stop makes a good breakfast. We were quickly seated and got our own drinks. I had a bacon egg & cheese bagel. My wife had bacon and egg on a French toast sandwich with warm syrup. Both were fresh and hot. You can watch the cook while she prepares your food. Well done. I plan to grab a chili dog before leaving town.
Unfortunately, never got the dog. However, we had another breakfast before heading home. We split their bacon and cheese omelet with hash browns. Tasty.

The food tasted amazing and the prices were unbelievably affordable. I was also surprised by the sit down service as well. The customer service was outstanding. I didn’t even realize we were in there past their normal closing time until I came here to leave a review because they were so nice to us anyway. It was a great break from our event and my kids and I will definitely be returning.

was there today right at opening, ordered the special. The hot dogs were gross, the onion rings greasy. Asked for onions and toppings got just mustard, took 2 bites and paid $22.00 gross never going back.

Excellent breakfast. I got the pancake special with bacon and 2 eggs. Everything was on point except the pancakes. They were a little thick and chewy…some buttermilk or sweet cream would have thinned the batter and added a little flavor….overall great job…skip the pancake next time.

The wife and I were visiting and our hotel was in walking distance so we tried it out. The breakfast was sooo delicious grits, sausage and gravy, BLT and the ultimate Omelet was the business! Thanks again Mr. Robert (cooking) and Emma (waitress) for the best service and food! Very professional and kind! 5 stars plus!

I tried the BLT with fries green tomatoes on it, hands down the best fried tomatoes I’ve had in over 20 years. Bonus was the ample amount of crispy bacon on the sandwich as well. Highly recommend, service is always friendly, fast, and accurate
