This place just opened on Central Street. I ordered 5 chicken tacos. I was impressed. The green and red salsas that came with the tacos tasted very nice. They were spicy! The corn tortillas were nice too. Inside the tacos are chicken, onion, and cilantro. These aren’t what you’ll find from taco bell. These are authentic style. It was delicious! Juan greeted me when I came inside and he was very kind. I will definitely come again and try everything on the menu.
Edit: Now it has been 5 months. They have added more specialties to the menu and they have different weekly items. Now they have flautas, horchata, milkshakes, tortas, and salads. Juan who is the owner is the nicest guy. I had the chicken tacos today. So delicious! The Salsa Verde was perfect as well as the tortillas!

It’s tough to find decent street tacos in Evanston, but Taco Burger definitely delivers. Their tacos are packed with flavor, and I was really impressed with the quality of the ingredients.
I also tried their signature taco burger, and it was surprisingly good! The flavors all worked really well together. Now I’m going to have a hard time choosing between the tacos and the burger on my next visit.
They also have a great deal on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with $2 tacos from 6 to 7 pm. If you’re in the mood for some tasty and affordable tacos, definitely check out Taco Burger.

Such a great time! Food was delicious! Kitchen and tables were so clean like far cleaner than we could have anticipated and the service was great! Overall good experience. Pork tacos were great!

I can’t rate the food because I didn’t get any even though I tried really hard. This place has been open in our neighborhood for a bit and I see why people are warning against it after visiting. We tried to go tonight (March 18th, 2024) but walked in…twice…and couldn’t get the two people working to even look up because they were both super into whatever they were looking at on their phones. We walked to the counter, lingered and said “excuse me” both times and finally walked out before trying one more time and saying “are you open?!” from the front door and still nothing. The woman finally looked up as we yelled across the restaurant but didn’t stand up so we decided to go somewhere else. The tables are spaced like it was four years ago the beginning of Covid. There were no other patrons, so I get they were entertaining themselves on their phones, but at least face the door. Have your head on the swivel. Try to do the basic part of your job. If you’re interested go now, I can’t imagine they’ll be open much longer.

If you’re in the area you HAVE to stop by Famous TacoBurger. We ordered a cheese burger, fries, chicken and steak tacos. Everything was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back again for more!

Better Mexican place then any other in or around Evanston! The food here is SO good that if ICE came here, someone might just Assassinate Trump. Large burrito was $11 and tacos are 4 each!

Overpriced! Absolutely not worth it. In fact any taco place that has $6 tacos shouldn’t be open for business. Not even going to eat here. Looked it up because the name was interesting. But no taco is worth that price. Absolutely a miss and I hope the employees have a back up plan because you place needs to be shut down for greed
