We bought the big-slab of St. Louis-Style Spareribs plus a side order of “famous fries” and Wilbur beans. The spareribs were delicious, and the fries were pretty good, but the Wilbur beans were not as good as traditional baked beans. Maybe we were just unlucky on that one occasion, but the Wilbur beans were watery, and they had so VERY little flavor compared to traditional baked beans. If Famous Dave’s is going to keep Wilbur beans on the menu, then I think they should also offer traditional baked beans that are sweetened with good ol’ brown sugar, the same way we remember from Mom’s kitchen back home. I’m guessing most people like to taste some strong sweetener in their baked beans. But still, the ribs were smoky and delicious.

Shared a big platter for our Christmas office exchange party. The ribs and brisket were amazing with the different sauces. I loved the ribs even without sauce. But overall as a meal, I felt that your whole plate including the sides has to be great in order for me to rate it a 4 star. A 5 star would mean an amazing meal and flavorful that I would have nothing to complain about. With that said, the chicken was super dry that I had to eat it with the beans and slaw. Wasn’t really a fan of the beans nor the slaw since it’s so sweet. The corn is just corn. The cornbread served at the beginning was great. Very flaky and not too buttery, just enough sweetness as well. The fries served was just basic, I don’t even know if it deserves any attention. Overall, I would definitely come back but only for the ribs and brisket. The other stuff, I wouldnt recommend..

Mom and I just had a delicious experience at Famous Dave’s! Couldn’t decide, so we went with the Monday Pork Sandwich Special and Burnt Ends Appetizer!! Wish I had this place at home–Willow Springs, MO!

The food was really good. The beef brisket is to die for and don’t forget the macaroni and cheese. The corn is not that sweet, cornbread is for someone with a very sweet tooth.

Ignore the old location photos that have Famous Dave’s sign above the building. Although prominent in this listing, their new location is actually inside Granite City restaurant. There’s is no sign in front. Go through the main entrance and you’ll find the ordering station next to the hostess.
Call ahead. Meals take at least 15 minutes to prepare. But there are some comfortable waiting areas. Food is as good as I remember it at the old sweeps standing location closer to the mall.
You gotta get their cornbread muffins. They are extra sweet, soft, and delicious!

I came in late, 45 mins before closing time. I didn’t understand that the famous Dave’s was a ghost kitchen and to-go only, not a big problem. I ordered grilled chicken and BBQ chicken with fries and a side salad. The fries were fine and hot but no ketchup or BBQ sauce came with the food. The side salad never made it into my meal and was forgotten about. Then the Chicken….what a let down. The grilled chicken was mostly dry, there was some dark meat thigh which was moist but nothing special. Then the BBQ chicken….it was not BBQ chicken. All they did was take grilled chicken and put BBQ sauce on it.
My hope for this review is that the manager will take ownership of his/her team and get the house in order. I know you can do better than this.

The food tasted reheated, not fresh, no essence of BBQ. The only good item we had were the Fries I had Famous Dave’s 2 years ago and it was a 6 out of 10. This take out place was a 1 out of 10. The burnt ends were like chopped rubber roast beef, the brisket had no flavor, the chicken was dryer than cheap toilet paper, and ribs were tough as a leather belt.

Service was great! The girl who had our food together made sure we had extra sauce and plates. However the food was horrible!! Nothing like the Famous Dave’s that used to be here in Franklin where you could sit down and eat. Corn was not sweet and was watery, bread was dry, beans were too tangy and the recipe tasted different. Had not had Famous Dave’s in awhile so I was excited about eating it again. Such a disappointment and unsatisfying.

We love the food and friendly service. The burnt ends are great and the bread pudding fabulous. We highly recommend it.

Food is great! You can tell the restaurant is tired… Feels like the owner doesn’t care about it anymore or do any upkeep to it. Table cloths are faded from the light shining down on them and the floor is worn and so is the paint on the thresholds etc… However, the food at this location is amazing. Got the hickory chicken sandwich and my daughter got the dave’s favorite burger. She said it was the best burger she’s ever had and that might have been the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. The building just needs some love, but those cooks can cook! They really just need to advertise more with all the new restaurants coming to town… Either way, we will still keep coming for the food. Hopefully they will clean the place up a bit here soon…
