A wonderful, quiet, and pleasant time at one of our Midwestern restaurants.

The food overall was amazing, even though the ribs were a little on the cold size.

Heat (aside from ribs) 4/5
Food texture: 5/5
Presentation: 5/5
Customer Service: 5/5
Price Worth: 4/5

Our waitress was very attentive. We will indeed come back!

The atmosphere and service were both good but the food was horrible. The brisket and pulled pork were both very poor quality meat that was covered up with salt and sauce to hide it. They also but it on top of a stale piece of bread to try to make their tiny portions look bigger. The chicken tenders were tiny pieces of rubber and probably the poorest excuse of potato salad I’ve ever had. The only good thing I can say was the cornbread and french fries were pretty good. I should’ve known better when there were only two other people in there eating at 12 o’clock on sunday.

Just happened to be in the area and thought that maybe just maybe a chain had some good barbecue. I was wrong it was just ok. Brisket with no bark no flavor. I also had rib tips and burnt ends. The burnt ends were a little to close actual burnt but the rib tips were okay until the sauce touch them. The sides not worth a comment. Oh well it was worth a shot.

It will be a while before trying this barbecue again.

I got here early for lunch and sat at the bar. Had a soda and decided I’d try the brisket. The sides were Wilber’s beans and sweet corn on the cob. The highlight were the beans and went downhill from there. Service was okay, no chitchat from the bartender. I might come back and try a burger.

We had Famous Dave’s for the first time on a whim… and it was a pretty solid meal. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon and my boyfriend had the pulled pork sandwich. Both were delicious.

Famous Liz was our waitress and she was lovely and knowledgeable. We’ll be back again next time I’m there area.

The food was great! There were about 12 of us. Everyone enjoyed the barbeque ribs and chicken. The corn muffins were delish. The wings were good. The sweet tea was refreshing.

We were traveling through SC and we stopped because the hubby had visited another Famous Dave’s in Kalispell, Montana and liked the place. The roasted chicken was tender and flavorful. The cheeseburger had a grill flavor and was juicy. I was told by a family member that the brisket seemed a little fatty when she asked for lean.
The staff was super friendly. Good experience overall.

It’s more like a 2.5 star place for me, simply because everything seems to have a vinegar base. I hate vinegar. Only thing I could honestly say I liked was the Onion Strings and the Grill Chicken. Brisket was tough, it look moisted, but no it wasn’t. Disappointing, the dog will get it. The price I paid, was it worth it, HELL NO. I have paid for something better then for less then what I got here. I would go back to order the Onion Strings.

I recently visited Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que and ordered the two meat combo of ribs and brisket, accompanied by Wilbur Beans and a cornbread muffin.

The brisket was good, but not outstanding—I’d rate it a 3.5 out of 5. The ribs, unfortunately, were a little tougher than I’d like. Ideally, the meat should come off the bone easily, but that wasn’t the case here. The taste was acceptable, so I’d give the ribs a 3.5 out of 5 as well.

The Wilbur Beans, on the other hand, were the highlight of the main course. They deserve a solid 4.5 out of 5. The cornbread muffin was also very good, earning a 4.0 out of 5.

The star of the meal, however, was the banana pudding. It was simply fantastic and deserving of a 5-star rating.

Overall, while the main meats were just okay, the sides and dessert at Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que were exceptional.

Two stars because the food is decent- DECENT. My ONLY complaint is the ribs being completely saturated in what tastes like lighter fluid. Just ruins the whole meal really. I appreciate trying to be unique with the sauces- but some things really are best kept simple. The fried catfish could have used some cocktail sauce. Hard to find good bbq these days smh. This is only my second time here, drove an hour to come. Most likely will be my last.
