I’ve been going to Family House of Pancakes for decades, but this was my first time at the Lemon Grove location. Huge portions, delicious omelettes, mouth-watering pancakes…. I ordered the red chili beans con carne omelette with a side of buttermilk pancakes and honesty left potatoes. Soooo delicious! Great atmosphere and service. I love the back-story to this restaurant! Thanks to the staff for another great breakfast!

Came to the family house of pancakes new location in lemon grove and boy is the staff sure friendly and so sweet. As well as very accommodating to its customers. Ordered the bacon omelette with a side of potatoes and beans. Be ready to eat cause the portions are huge and worth the price. Would definitely love to come back again and try other things on the menu.

First time visiting this restaurant. The service is wonderful. The food portions are huge, so the prices are justified. Loved the iced coffee with 1 refill included. The only reason this didn’t turn out to be a 5 star was because you don’t see a sign about the ‘non cash’ fee until you get the bill OR until you’re about to pay at the register. I would’ve appreciated a sign at the entrance door, which maybe there is, but I didn’t see it. Bring CASH, then it should be a 5-star experience.

this is the BEST breakfast place in san diego county, and you will never change my mind! I come here a lot, and the food and service is always exceptional. they have the best biscuits and gravy i’ve ever had, the pancakes are absolutely delicious, and you will without a doubt have leftovers to feed you for days! I just can’t say enough good things about this place! no wonder they do such good business!

First time here. Haven’t had “spicy,” eggs Benedict in a while, especially with biscuits instead of English muffins. Not bad flavor wise. Service was good, wasn’t too busy in early am. Would say $20 fair price for what it was with tax/tip and “debit card 4% fee.”

Well prepared home style food in a kick back, table service restaurant. The house made corned beef hash was superb with deliciously brined meat accented with bell peppers, herbs and onion, which added brightness to the dish. The country potatoes were sliced paper thin and had crisp edges. Pancakes were light a fluffy. The house made salsa was fresh with well balanced flavors and a little enough of a kick to keep it interesting. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. Portions are large but they do not skimp on flavor or quality. Can’t wait to come back.

My family and I (3 people) were seated immediately which is great, no waiting time. Our waiter was amazing & did an excellent service, she had patience. The place was huge & very noisy obviously. The iced coffee & Nutella with banana crepes are sweet. The crepes had whip cream on top & when the whip cream melted, I discovered a small hair in the whip cream, I thought it was mine but I was mistaken. I got annoyed quick with the crepes & iced coffee. Veggie omelette was okay but it was too cheesy, it was overload with cheese. I discovered a hair at the bottom of my omelette. The steak, egg, & potatoes were amazing, the steak was a 10/10. However, the pancakes were not cooked well, you can taste the uncooked flour. Overall, it was our first time having breakfast at this restaurant & definitely will be our last; the only great thing of this restaurant was the service & how amazing they cared for us.
