I ordered 5 lbs of cut bbq for a death in the family on July 9 2025. I went to get the food and when he showed it to me I asked if that was 5 lbs and he assured me it was. It did not look like it or feel like it. I knew that wasn’t enough so I ordered more somewhere else. When I picked that 5 lbs up it was over twice the size. I took his plate to weight and it was 2.12 lbs with the sauce included in the weight. I called him and he said he doesn’t have a scale but he will make it up next time. He charged me 25 dollars a pound for 2 lbs and passed it off as 5 lbs. Just a warning if you order by weight from him you will be ripped off. I am disappointed he was a nice guy and he gave me a sample of the meat which was good but I don’t know how he sleeps at night giving 2 lbs for 5 lbs

We smelled the grill from the road, turned around and found this spot. The ribs were delicious, the sauce was on point. We also got baked beans, they were pretty basic but we didn’t stop for the beans! Now this was the taste and feel of the old days with backyard BBQs. Family is accurate. PS, we bought the family sauce, delicious!

Best ribs of my life, the sauce I had to buy a jar of. It reminded me of my father grilling for the family functions when I was a young child. I only knew of this place driving to the Asian market for pho noodles…smelled the food… Saw the smoke and knew I had to stop. This old man does BBQ right. Listen….just go, when I say a good BANG FOR YOUR BUCK! FAST, delicious, and great friendly customer service. I had the Rib and chicken platter for $8 bucks and…I will be back. The sauce is great, ribs and chicken were cooked just perfect. Also they have a great selection of meats and sides.

I was traveling and searched for food. This place was a great find!!! The owner/young guy was friendly & professional! He shared the menu in a very fun & easy way. You could smell that perfect BBQ Smokey smell! I had chicken, baked beans & potato salad. Big portions & delicious!

One of the best bbq I had in savannah. I eat there at least once a week.. Mr Family is one cool down to earth guy.. it’s a must you try his bbq!!
Update: I tried him 3 times since being back since 2020. All 3 times the food wasn’t good. The ribs witch use to be the best are dry and burnt. I order brisket the last time only because he said it was all he had left, he gave me like 2 scoops oh shredded brisket that was dry and charged me 20. I’ll never go back, I bragged about his food to my wife just to be disappointed not once but 3 times.
