I enjoy good Mexican food- who doesn’t. This place turned out to be one of the top three I’ve ever been to. I simply stopped in for a quick lunch, ordered a half portion of nachos. Amazing! Nicely proportioned chips to ingredients and they used both ground beef and shredded chicken. Nicely toasted and topped with chilled guac, sour cream, and pico. Best part- server named Junior. I asked for some hot sauce, he asked “mild, hot, or HOT” I said hot- he went to the kitchen and made some hot sauce for me and it was amazing! It added so much flavor and depth to the meal, it didn’t just make it hot. It was a slow enhancement that had me scarfing down more than I had anticipated. Well done, Junior- and well done Fajita Grande. I’ll be back.

The food was amazing. And the waiters Abigail and yasmia were great. Junior was hilarious. I have not had an experience this good once. I had a very good time, all of us did, and had many good laughs. I will 100% be returning to this restaurant and I highly recommend it for a fantastic meal and a great time. What a pleasure

Phenomenal food and comfortable atmosphere with exceptional staff! Highly recommend Fajita Grande as they don’t skimp on portions or flavor. I’d say the best Hispanic food in Frederick, MD. Bring the family and a healthy appetite & you’ll be in a wonderful food coma!!!

This is hands down the greatest Mexian Restaurant I have ever been too. The prices were so affordable. The portions are large, the ingredients fresh, and the service was beyond compare. Our waiter Anwar was hilarious. My daughter was eating and dancing at the same time. Absolute 5 Stars!

I’m really not sure how this place is rated over a 4 out of 5 stars. We just moved the Frederick a couple of months ago and are trying out new places. Decided to stop here since it’s highly rated and we need to find a local favorite Mexican place. This was the complete opposite. The 2 out of 5 stars is the food rating. It was the blandest watery Mexican food I’ve ever had.
We got the queso (orange cheese, if you are wondering between that and white) tortilla chips appear to be store bought and not in house which seems odd. I got the chimichanga and my partner got a combo with 2 enchiladas and a taco.
The chicken chimichanga was fried and crispy on the outside as you would want. But it was way too watery and bland on the inside. The refried beans were heavily seasoned with cumin. The rice was also meh to me, but that may be due to the typical spanish rice places tend to serve that I like more -thr kind that is more dence and nutty. This was more like a lighter blander rice. My parter agreed that his dish was also bland and watery, so this seems to be a consistent issue. He did like his beans and rice though.
They only offer one beer size-small, instead of small or tall options, if that’s something you care about as a beer person.
The service was not good. They didn’t acknowledge us at the door, just 5 people talking amongst themselves figuring out who would have us and where they would seat us. We were seated and when the waitress came to our table a few minutes later, the first thing out of her mouth was “Do you guys know what drinks you want yet?” Not shy or pleasant like maybe it came off weird, just that. No “Hello. My name is Cami, etc” My partner even started with “Hey, how’s it going?” And she still just led with the question on drinks. I don’t expect much but I was a bit shocked that that was the intro. The whole time was the same. They weren’t overly busy. It seems like she just wanted to go back to talking to the other waiters/waitresses throughout our time there.
The place does have a smell as well as other reviews have stated and the bathroom appears to be a one stall bathroom.- I tried to use it early on but the door was locked, I just didn’t try again at that point. I usually get dessert out. But went elsewhere for dessert as I didn’t want to waste my calories and money on something so subpar.
I don’t think I’ve ever left a poor review on a place, but I don’t see how this place has so many good ones unless it’s just locals who have gone there for years and find comfort, or people who come from places that only have subpar food. I have had Mexican food at this price point that was much much better quality. If you have too, don’t waste your time, money, or calories if you track on this place.

Went in with pretty low expectations, but I was assured that the food was really good. The atmosphere is pretty dated, very 1980’s, but don’t let that discourage you. We were brought complimentary chips and salsa, the salsa was great. We got an order of the Queso, which clearly didn’t come from a can/jar, but did have a bit of a grainy texture. The real star of the show was the fajitas. I got the steak and chicken combo, it came out sizzling hot, as it should. The flavor was perfect, the seasoning was just right, the meat to veggies ratio was spot on. The service was very friendly and the food came quickly. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic fast service with the waitresses going above and beyond for our family. One waitress was so sweet to our kiddos, and handed out stickers to each. And another gifted the kids some ice cream just because! If you are in the area and are looking for a family friendly, delicious, and convenient Mexican restaurant then this is that place!
