This place is the real deal. Fabio, the owner, is truly Italian — from Northern Italy — and you can taste that authenticity in every bite.
It’s very much a hole-in-the-wall setup: you order at the counter, pay, and then Fabio personally brings your food to one of the small tables set up outside. The whole experience is minimal, efficient, and completely focused on quality.
As an Italian born and raised in Italy, I find it very hard to eat pasta outside of Italy without being disappointed — but this place is a true testament to how it should be done. The pasta is fresh, and the ingredients are divine. We tried the fettuccine with truffle and mushrooms and the rigatoni with basil and shrimp. We pretty much licked the plates clean.
The outdoor seating is simple and cute, tucked into a little alley just a few steps from Venice Beach. It can get a bit breezy with the ocean air — we visited in February — but they have several outdoor heat lamps placed around the tables. I’d still recommend bringing an extra layer just in case.
Being Venice Beach, you’ll likely see some quirky characters strolling by, but that’s part of the atmosphere.
Parking-wise, there are paid lots nearby, but they can be expensive. I’d suggest parking a few streets away in the residential area where you can usually find free street parking.

I thoroughly enjoyed this charming, unpretentious establishment located near Venice Beach. The pasta served here is among the finest I have experienced in quite some time. The black truffle pasta, which was recommended, was truly exceptional. The owner was polite and helpful. With this spot having great pricing its a must have while your in town. ps get their garlic bread you wont regret it

We ordered ravioli and some pasta with a spicy red sauce and shrimp. The food came out temperature hot and super tasty. The pasta tasted super fresh and I will be back. Ever was perfect. They were so friendly and helpful too. The price was reasonable and fair.

We’re planning on going somewhere else, but walked by this literal whole in the wall, and the smells made us stop. Glad that we did, too.

As other have said it is a window in the side of a building that Fabio takes orders from. Then he takes a few steps and makes your pasta and brings it out to you. Fairly quick process, the worst part was the birds hanging out hoping you’ll lose something. But the food was refreshing, even being pasta. The sauces are delicious and so full of flavor. All in all, a surprisingly delightful meal.

Spicy Rigatoni was the best I have had in my life. Hit that spice note in the tomato sauce that made it sing. The pasta was incredible and the sauce took it out of this world.

Ordered it to go so I could chill by my car next to the beach.

Highly recommend stopping by and trying everything!

You combine a pasta type (freshly made in-house) with a sauce (some cost extra) and an optional topping.

Very nice location right near the beach in Venice. Don’t expect much as far as the decor and such goes – this place literally operates out of a window in the wall. There are a handful of tables and chairs outside, and when we were there in the evening, it was shady, windy and quite cool, but it was nice that they had some heaters.

The food was very tasty, light and vibrant in the nice little bowls used for plating.

FABIOS is a true hidden gem near the Venice boardwalk! This yummy, hole-in-the-wall spot serves incredible pasta. Every dish is bursting with flavor, and the food is so satisfying—it’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back.

It’s the perfect stop after a stroll or bike ride along the boardwalk. I always bring friends and relatives here when they visit, and it never disappoints. Fabio, the owner, is from Sardinia, so he knows what’s up with Italian food and hospitality. And he’s an absolute sweetheart. He doesn’t just make amazing food; he serves it with genuine care and a side of life wisdom. His warmth and compassion make the experience even more special.

If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check out Fabio’s. It’s the kind of place that feeds both your stomach and your soul. Highly recommend!

The best homemade pasta dishes (pappardelle w/black truffle sauce & sausage and rigatoni w/spicy tomato sauce & sausage) we’ve ever had, hands-down. The tiramisu was perfection, too. /10 experience.

Came back again 2 days later (this time for rigatoni w/bolognese & burrata and fusilli w/basil pesto & burrata), and again, incredible.
