I’ve been coming to Mazatlan for YEARS! Grew up eating here, but recently they’ve had a change in ownership. The food quality plummeted, and it’s honestly some of the worst Mexican I’ve ever had. I miss the old owners, they were fantastic, but these new people haven’t ever had good Mexican I guess. I tried them a second time to give them the benefit of the doubt, and somehow it was worse the second time. The cheese dip is weird tasting and the salsa is basically tomato sauce, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back until things change or go back to the same way as before.

Wonderful experience! I always get a full order of Jim Nachos with rice. The cheese sauce was EPIC! The customer service never disappoints. I am a regular! I recently help my granddaughter’s birthday party there. Ernesto and staff took very good care of the many family and friends. We were able to bring decorations.

Little hard to know where the entrance was considering the sign was on the wrong side of the building. Took a “minute” to get the check and a to go box afterwards. Other than those 2 little things everything else was excellent. Best mexican food I’ve had in a long time.

Awesome Mexican restaurant. I usually do not enjoy Mexican food, but this place is my exception. Make sure to try the Jim’s Nachos (over rice). It is like nothing else in this world! UPDATE 5/14/23 Restaurant is under new management. On most recent visit food quality and serving size had decreased. Manager said they will soon change the name. Looks like the Mazatlan we’ve depended on for decades is dead.

Wow what a great surprise to eat. Ordered me a carne asada steak plate. Plenty of steak, flavorful, seasoned good and nice char marks on the outside but cooked medium in the center. Plenty of rice and beans. Salsa has enough heat to keep you dipping more chips.
