We visited F & F Restaurant and Bar on 1-30-26. The restaurant has a nice casual decor but is a bit loud making it difficult for having an enjoyable conversation. My wife ordered the Badger Flame Beet salad ($17), I ordered the Big Green salad [BGS] ($16) and we split a 12 inch cheese pizza ($20). Overall, the food was fresh and well prepared, yet the value was poor. The Beet salad was enough for half a serving and The BGS was only lettuces. Yes, you read that correctly only loosely packed lettuces. I realize it was titled Green Salad, but no cucumbers, no olives, no green onions, and of course, no vegetables of color. To be honest, it did have one red radicchio leaf. I’m beginning to think F & F are segregationist to most non-green salad commonalities? Oh yea, the pizza was good. I gave it three stars as the salads were a very poor value and experience for the high prices. The pics also show other items our lunch mates ordered Pasta Fagioli ($16) and Peperoni Pizza ($21). Our mate that ordered the Pasta Fagioli gave it thumbs down .

So we visited on superbowl sunday. It was an amazing pizza. Cooked perfect, really good sauce, good cheese. We enjoyed it. This pizza is head and shoulders better than the pittsburgh so called great pizzas. Better than all of them. We will be back to try some others from the menu.

Finally after months since opening, my husband and I were able to snag a reservation (only way you’ll get a table)! Place was packed at 3PM on a Sunday! We were sat at a 2 top table, right next to the front door. It was zero degrees out so every time someone opened the door, we were blasted with freezing cold air. We were miserable the whole time sitting there. Our waitress was lovely, very nice, and explained the very short menu to us. We ordered the cheese and Bolognese Arancini, vodka rigatoni, a cheese pie, and the sausage and sage pie. I must say I was expecting way more flavor from this place. The vodka rigatoni noodles were extremely aldente and dish had no flavor. I couldn’t tell if this was homemade pasta or not. Very pricey coming in at $24. There was a nice undercarriage on the pizza, the sausage and sage pie was yummy! But again, pricey coming in at almost $40 for a large. In my opinion, the Arancini was the best thing we ate. We would also skip ordering any alcohol if we ever visited again. One small glass of white wine was $15 or $16 and in ordering 2 glasses, we could have purchased the bottle. It’s a nice new staple to the area but there are better more affordable pizza restaurants close by.

Start with the good. The pizza is crispy, light and flavorful. With that being said, they didnt reinvent the wheel. To be honest im not sure why there is so much hype around this place. They fall into the category of “unnecessarily expensive pizza”. We can all agree pizza dough is flour, water, yeast and all in the correct portions. A $30 pizza seems a bit excessive for Italian street food. The service, and all of the things you can and can’t do. Example: “can we do a pepperoni pizza with Mushrooms? “… answer… NO you can’t. Example #2 ” can we have separate checks?”… answer… NO but we can split the total check completely in half. Even the smug attitude from our waiter was a turn off. Outside of the waiter, the atmosphere around the restaurant was lively and happening. Again, the pizza is good. But so is Rockaway, Pizza Lupo, Harry’s, Vicents Pizza Park and Badamos. This place isn’t a pizza shop it’s more restaurant that serves pizza. They have a small menu and they execute it well but not for the hype surrounding this place. Just my honest opinion

A solid addition to Beverly road! We enjoyed our meal at this new upscale Italian restaurant. We ordered the clam pie (white), aracini, and the monsier croquette pie – everything was excellent. We also had great/fast service. Reservations are necessary to get in here! If I had any feedback, I would say please provide further details on the menu of what comes on each pie, appetizer, drink, etc.

Pizza is for real. Really good flavorful sourdough crust that was the right amount of airy, crunchy and chewy. Cooked correctly at higher temperatures and slightly charred.
The cheese was flavorful and the correct ratio. Sauce was a tiny bit lite but had a good flavor.
Overall the pizza was really well balanced.
This pizza is definitely in the top 10 for me in the Pittsburgh market.

Absolutely love this place! The food quality and taste is unmatched. The pizzas are outstanding as are the pastas. Specifically the rigatoni and pork cavatelli. Clam pizza is also a must try!

Food was OK.. liked the beans and greens and the cheese arancini. Meat arancini had no flavor. Pizza was decent but very overpriced. Two appetizers and two small pizzas for $80. Drinks were not refilled timely and glasses were very small. Tables are also very small for the family style service.

Well I guess the whole experience started outside, because I had to drive around for about 10 minutes to find a parking spot on a Thursday. Once seated, we were presented with these little tiny postcards that were supposed to be the menu. None of the food items had descriptions on them, so my party and I had to ask the waiter about everything on the menu. I thought we were coming for pizza, so I didn’t know that it would be a difficult decision. I thought I would pull up the website on my phone so I could get a better description of the food, but there was literally just the same undescript postcard on the website. I just decided on a cheese and pepperoni calzone, because it was the only thing on the menu I could identify without assistance. All of the food was burnt. I don’t know if they use a wood oven and that’s why, but the entire top of my calzone was black, as was the crust of the pizza my friends ordered. Because this place is trying to masquerade as upscale, they give you water to drink out of little tiny glasses and really clunky silverware that feels awkward in your hands wrapped in a cloth napkin. Pizza’s came in two sizes and some of the large ones on the menu were over $40.

We had really high hopes for F&F and we’re excited for our dinner on Saturday night. I made this reservation weeks in advance. My partner and I spent 10 days in NYC over the holidays last year and thought this would be a perfect way to feel like we were back there enjoying another good meal. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. While the space is beautiful, we were really disappointed we did not have a good experience.
First, we had drinks. My gin martini with olive washed vermouth was excellent. Perfect. My partners cocktail, Rust belt revival, was not good. It was sweet but lacked any other flavor. It almost felt like they forgot to put bourbon in it? It just was boring and not very good. We told our server when she checked on us. We asked if maybe we could have a shot of bourbon to add to it and she said ok. Sometime later another gentleman stopped at the table to ask if we had an issue with the cocktail, we repeated what we told our server. He asked if we just wanted a shot of bourbon to add to it and we said yes. We were then charged $14 for a shot of bourbon. The cocktail was $15, so we now had a $28 cocktail. They should have just offered to remake it at that point rather than charge $14 for a shot. This was petty frustrating to see at the end of the meal when we got the bill. I also had a couple of glasses of wine, the cab-Merlot and it was good once it had a chance to breathe a bit.
Because I ordered the martini, I ordered the olives to munch while I enjoyed my cocktail. They were buttery and delicious. Next, we ordered arancini. It’s unclear on the menu that you get one single arancini, but I was not expecting a large order for the price. It was totally bland, and the side of red sauce was bland. Even my very easy to please partner said it was pretty flavorless. Again, when the server asked, we were honest. I never give bad feedback when food is not meeting expectation, I just move on and don’t go back, but seeing as it’s a new place we decided to share that it was bland and maybe needed some salt, both the arancini and sauce. The pepperoni pizza was ok. It was a little soggy but tased fine overall. After we had the first piece, the server offered us the Calabrian chili oil and that definitely helped the flavor. The pizza had a lot of crust, and not in a good way. My partner’s favorite food is pizza and even just ok pizza is good to him. He never complains about any food, but was disappointed enough to tell me he was disappointed, so I know it was a major letdown. He told me this was the first time he had ever had pizza that he felt like there was too much crust (and it was pretty charred).
We ordered two desserts. The tiramisu and the lava cake. While they both tasted fine, the tiramisu was extremely wet. It didn’t seem like there was much ladyfinger in the dessert. The lava cake was just a dense little cake with no “lava”. It was odd. It felt like maybe it wasn’t made in-house? It was on the dry side (the exact opposite of what lava cake should be) but had a little crème in the dish to drag the cake through, so that helped. Again, they tasted fine, just not the quality we expected and missing key pieces to match their traditional/expected serving.
Our bill was nearly $180 after tip, so I was pretty bummed to have had the experience we did.
