While waiting for my order next door, I popped in. Cluck yeah! Ezell’s doesn’t just serve chicken, they serve soul on a plate. The livers and gizzards? Fried gold that’ll have you gobbling before you can say, gizzard wizard. Crispy, tender, and seasoned like they’ve got a direct line to the flavor heavens. Forget tenders, these bites are the real pecking deal.

I grew up on Ezell’s. I lived in the Central District and went to Garfield High School, so I know what the real standard is. I have lived in Lynnwood for 5 years and this 196th location has been disappointing every time. The “tenders” are closer to small nuggets with thick, uneven breading. The wing is not the classic Ezell’s cut that includes part of the breast, so the portion is tiny. The roll still tastes good, but portions are smaller. I paid $15 and felt cheated.
I was going to Heaven Sent until it closed its doors. It is a shame how far this location has fallen off. Please bring back the cut, the portions, and the quality control that made Ezell’s great in the CD. I want to support you, but I am done until this improves.

First time, staying at a nearby hotel. The food was amazing, the spicy chicken and chicken tenders were great. The mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were awesome. The rolls were out of this world! If ever in the area again, I will be coming back.

I have ordered from this location a couple of times through doordash. The last time the food was dry and chewy and I’m sure it was just a fluke. I placed another order today and I called them and they guaranteed that my food will be fresh and they delivered above and beyond. Even with the delivery time, the chicken was nice and moist and had a wonderful texture and all the rest of the food was fantastic. Their customer service is top notch and super friendly. Definitely looking forward to future purchases with them again! (This review includes a checklist of recommended dishes but did not include their baked beans. That was the only side I ordered because I really like baked beans. They do that side very well.)

Ezell’s is already a well-known and beloved chicken brand in WA. Their chicken is absolutely delicious and always hits the spot! However, the prices have been increasing lately, which is really unfortunate. It makes it harder to enjoy as often as I’d like. I hope they find a way to keep their amazing quality while staying affordable for loyal customers like me.

Came in for a bite on our vacation. What an amazing place to enjoy homemade food! The chicken was crispy and well coated, the sides fresh and piping hot! Workers are so kind and willing to do anything to make your experience better! food is some of the best i’ve ever had always come here for the tenders and mac n cheese! i would definitely recommend coming here and if it’s your first time the half a pound tender combo is the best!

Ordered 3 piece spicy chicken with a side of mashed potatoes. Chicken wasn’t spicy even though I reminded them I wanted spicy. Chicken portions were tiny and no spoon provided with mashed potatoes. My first time at Ezell’s and I’ll never be back.

I had an experience tonight that truly reminded me what great customer service looks like.
I accidentally placed my order for pickup instead of delivery, and because of a neurological disorder I’m dealing with—as well as being a current cancer survivor—I can’t safely drive at night due to the headlights making me sick. I called Ezell’s to ask if there was any way they could help or switch it to delivery.
The general manager went above and beyond anything I expected. Instead of cancelling my order or making me struggle to figure it out, he personally delivered the food to my home himself. That level of kindness and understanding is rare, and it meant more to me than he even knows.
The food was amazing as always, but the compassion and humanity behind the service tonight is what truly stood out. Ezell’s didn’t just make a meal—they made my night easier during a really difficult time.
Thank you to the manager and the team for treating me like a human being, not just another order. I’ll always remember this.
