We were big Explorium fans from the opening of the Southridge location. This was our second visit to the Deer District location and was not impressed …again. The first time we stopped here it was before a Bucks game and we were excited to try the new location. We waited almost an hour for our wings and flatbread. They were busy so we let it ride.
Tonight was our second time trying the Deer District location before an Admirals game. They were busy because of multiple events going on (bucks, admirals, and a St Patty’s shamrock shuffle), which we were totally understanding about. The hostess was friendly and helped us get a table right away.
Our beverages took about 20+ minutes to get to us after ordering. I went back to get water from the water station, and that was empty. Food took about 30 minutes, which isn’t horrible, BUT quality wasn’t there. My husband got classic wings which were dry and seemed to be par-fried as the bones were basically shredding as he was eating them. My tacos had decent flavor but the meat was dry (carne asada and al pastor) and nothing was hot…. It was warm, at best.
We were big Explorium fans, but after having a disappointing visit at the Third Ward location after its opening, and now two disappointing visits at the Deer District location, I’m not sure we will be back.

I am with Wisconsin Adaptive Sports Association and I partnered with Bella Hammond at Explorium Distilled to host the WASA Tryit & Back in the Game Social for a group of 50. While planning this event, Bella was quick to respond and accommodated all of our requests. We booked the Barrel Room and found the low tables and self-serve food options accessible and convenient. The overall service, food, and atmosphere were fantastic! I would recommend this location for hosting events and we will definitely be back again.

If you like mildly warm beer and ice cold food at a premium price, then this place is for you! The nachos I ate will likely come out in the fiserv forum as explosive diarrhea. Can’t wait for my next Bucks game when I can come back! Keep up the good work.

Really enjoyed the boneless wings! They were more like smaller chicken tenders, but VERY crispy and saucy. Also got the bacon burger. It was good, but it would’ve been better with the double patty. Ended with the birria tacos! They were super crispy and flavorful, but a different style than what I’ve enjoyed at other places.

Margarita was solid, made from scratch. For beer, enjoyed the Firefly Hazy IPA – it was smooth, almost like a milkshake IPA, and fruity.

Great local beer, the tacos here are 10x better than the other Explorium locations!!! Looking forward to trying more from their menu as time goes on.

Came here before a Bucks game on a Sunday afternoon. Service was via a QR code so that was easy enough. It took probably 10 minutes to bring out my beer and two old fashioneds the people I ordered with.

All beers on the menu were either $9 or $10. I ordered a Damn that’s Good Double IPA that came out to $10.84 since the menu price doesnt include tax. On top of the ridiculous price it came in a plastic cup. The beer itself was good but not for damn near $11.

The music was way too loud, had a hard time talking with people across the table from me.

Plenty of other bars within walking distance to Fiserv Forum, go somewhere else and you won’t be price gouged.

When I am in town and I’m going to an Admirals game or anything at Fiserv Forum, this is now my go-to place to get something to eat and drink. The bartender Ethan (i think? pretty sure?) was awesome, and the manager Leila was super fun to chat with on the day when the rain was dense and the crowd was sparse.

A note – the reuben bombs, while delicious, are a shareable appetizer. I could not eat the serving myself, it was a lot of reuben.

Really disappointed in this Explorium location. Honestly, I’ve been disappointed in both locations that have opened since the original Southridge location.
This was our second visit at the Deer District spot and it will definitely be the last and it’s solely based on the food.
Even though they were under staffed and overwhelmed the staff was friendly and acknowledged the situation with grace.
The food once again fell well below par. The wings were well over cooked and dry which made me think they were par cooked for the rush and refried. They had bones showing and looked like zombie wings. Taco meat was dry and cold, shells were stale.
Mike, I love you but you gotta do better.

To be expected with a restaurant in a high traffic area next to a sports arena. Plan ahead and get there early on game days! The host was great, very friendly and informative. The atmosphere is fun and inviting and the space inside is very large with plenty of seating. The food was okay, didn’t seem very fresh and the chicken on my salad was clearly a frozen rubbery chicken breast. The service was not great; everything is order from the table through an app/online which is a neat feature for some but can make it confusing and anytime we had questions the servers practically ignored us. We ended up waiting an hour for two drinks and tried asking a server only to get told it was coming then when we went to the bar, they did in fact forget about our drink order.

Went here for their Friday lunch special and before a Bucks game. Food was quick, well priced and quality was great. Would definitely go again! Good for kids as well!
