My son was home from college and wanted to take us here. He’s been a few times and loved it. He loves trying exotic cuisines. It was VERY good, very fresh, and made to order, so we didn’t mind waiting just a little while, but the dishes came out as they were made, so everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. My favorites were the samosas, the fried plantains, and the beef kabobs. They have a sauce that you can add some flavor/heat to the food that my son and husband love, but I don’t like a lot of spice, but there was plenty of flavor either way! At the end of the meal, we ordered 2 more samosas, and they brought out 6! We ate every last bite. If you want a super friendly, family home atmosphere, and love trying new flavors, give this place a try! We will be back!

I absolutely love this place. I’ve been to other spots in the north Texas and no one compares to this one they give you a very good portion size for the price they greet you with love and they put love into their food. It does take a while to get your food because they’re making it fresh. The goat stew I get every time and every time it’s very tender tomato based flavor full . still plantains are nice fresh and sweet. These are the type of restaurants we should support they are hard working people. I will never cheat on my auntie .

OMG!!! This place is a hidden gem. Everything is so fresh and authentic, I can tell they put a lot of love into it. The chicken and samosas were my favorite here. The flavors are so delicious, I will definitely be coming back. I’m so glad Cecile showed me this place. I’ll be telling everyone about it!!!!

This restaurant is cozy and the staff is friendly. We ordered Pork Ribs, Chicken, Tilapia, Yam Fufu, and drinks. Overall, the food was good and tasted fresh. The Tilapia is the whole fish with head and bones. The dishes are a bit pricey, but we had a good experience.

From the moment I walked into Exotic African Grill I was welcomed as if I had just entered my grandmother’s home for Sunday dinner. Jordy and Cecile created a warm environment by asking how I was doing and putting on great music. They walked me through the menu and since this is my first time they did a great job of highlighting the staples of the menu. I was able to sample a little bit of everything. The food was fresh and made to order. The chicken was so flavorful, well seasoned, and juicy. The ribs were so tender and tasty, it would have been disrespectful to dip them in bbq sauce. The plantain was perfectly ripe and fried exquisitely. Rice and beans were great sides to balance out all of the flavors. The Mikate (african donut holes) were the cherry on top for dessert and paired well with a generous helping of peanut butter. The house-made hot sauce (pili-pili) wasn’t just hot, it was a delicious addition that enhanced every dish. My experience was a 10/10 and I’ll definitely be back very soon with my friends and family.

I was very happy with the food and the service! Goat stew is to die for!! 100% recommend! And the prices were very much reasonable for the amount of food you get which can easily feed two. I loved the jelof rice and I like that the give you the spice on the side:) I was happy with the customer service and the high quality of home cooked meal, I will be returning!

We wanted to try another African restaurant, and decided to come to this location. I have to say I was quite disappointed with the food. The jollof did not have a taste at all, very flavorless. The fish just had a burnt taste to it. No flavor. I had to use some garlic chili oil to give the dish flavor. From now on I will continue going to Kemi’s in Grand Prairie, which is the best Nigerian restaurant in the DFW!

I visited this place with my husband and loved it! Maria was really nice and the gentleman who ushered us to our seats. Food was delicious and fairly priced. We were told they cook the food fresh and for sure we were not disappointed. I ordered ugali with goat stew and spinach and my husband ordered oxtail with jollof rice. We left happy customers. Food is not spicy but it is aromatic with perfect seasonings. If you want spicy, they will give you the spice on the side to season it to your liking. I highly recommend this place. We are definitely coming back when we are in this area of town.

First timer. The lady was very kind. The young guy was kind of short with me, as I had questions. However, the food was prepared quickly.

Be aware when ordering goat for pickup… they will give you lamb and argue with you that it is goat and fish was burned…very disappointing.
