Hmm I’m not sure maybe caught them on an off day. We were in town visiting and picked this place off of google reviews. It wasn’t the type of BBQ I’m use to I guess. The Frito pie looked much better in pictures. My husband got a brisket sandwich and was expecting slices but it was more like a chop brisket. The dessert pudding was yummy. Service was quick but was standing for awhile trying to figure out how or where to order. The 3 ladies in the front we’re trying to look busy and just felt like we ruined their break time haha.

Found this gem one day as we traveled through Uvalde, Texas. The staff is so friendly and considerate. I was able to specifically choose the section of brisket I wanted. The sausage is spectacular and the ribs are so tender they fall off the bone. Sides are delicious and the dining area is rustic but clean. It’s a quiet spot to grab lunch or dinner. Highly recommend that you stop and eat if you’re heading to or through Uvalde.

I recommend the ribs, some of the best I’ve had. The brisket and sausage are also respectable. The sauce matches well with the meat. The potato salad is a bit too sweet and the beans are almost afterthought as they lack any type of seasoning whatsoever.

Just ate with a friend from Michigan at Evetts in Uvalde Tx. Brisket was worth the drive from San Antonio, it fell a part as you try to pick it up with your fork. Juicy and tender, sauce was original and seemed to have some brisket droppings for added flavor, mixed with some sweet smoke hint just right. Great brisket. However, sausage was not as juicy and although it had cheese and jalapenos it was not spicy and could have been hotter, nah. It was Meh. The potato salad was sweet but again had taken sweet touch of similar flavor in brisket sauce……. maybe too much sweet…. Spanish rice TO DIE FOR, FLAKY TENDER MOIST PERFECT SEASONING…… bread fresh, fresh hot flavored jalapenos and clean and fully stocked drink bar…… there u go. I will go back and try ribs, pulled pork, and chicken. I hear they are as good as the brisket

Good, but not great. I love good Texas barbecue. This was pretty bland. No spice at all, and not much flavor. I’ve had better in my hometown in California, but the people who own that restaurant are from Texas.

The ribs were delicious and falling off the bone. Whoever made the ribs is heaven sent. The brisket was tender. I recommend the brisket sandwich plain so you can really get the taste of the meat. Will stop here any time I’m in Uvalde.
