The food was okay but our waitress was very rude. To the point all we could do was laugh. I didn’t order fast enough for her so she literally hit the table and said “WHAT YOU WANT”
She reminded me of the soup Nazi off of Seinfeld. The lunch specials are a good deal though. Everyone working there seemed miserable.

Evergreen has been our favorite for years. We’ve always ordered delivery and while there were things on the delivery apps we had to address, never anything about the food we received from here. Last week, instead of delivery I went to the restaurant to pick up. The next morning I got a notification that my card had been overdrafted. An additional $52 was charged after the food was purchased. That specific card was only used at that restaurant that day. (02/06/2026) The charges were just moments apart, the initial food and then a “debit adjustment” for the additional $52. Be careful with your card at this place. We won’t be returning.

Ordered through GrubHub and received the food with no packaging or sealing? The chicken wings were in a small bag with no seal and all food sitting in a bottom box in the outdoor elements on my patio. All other restaurants bag the items and seal with either tape or staples. Is this really acceptable? Unbelievable to me. I would recommend changing your packaging process. Seems like a health violation to me.

If I could give a lower rating, I would. Upon first walking in, I noticed a pungent smell. The smell sure matched the attitude of every employee in there except for the underage child working the counter. A Pint size rice is their larger portion of rice it seems. I was told on the phone that their large size of fried rice was just a big white container. They didn’t know the sizes. When I got up there and wanted a refund because it was really small, they tried to corner me and argue. They then started talking about me in their own language. I did get a refund but horrible experience wouldn’t recommend

The worst ! I am a senior and I just get soup to go. They give me basically just broth. I’ve tested this for 6 months prior. I have ate in the restaurant with my son, who is quite prominent. He doesn’t want to eat there. He honors my wishes.
I’m posting so many blogs at the University where my daughter is a Professor.
Also, we tried other options because I live a mile away by lake. The worst service ever!! Very rude. We didn’t want buffet. All dried up.
Irritated by ordering from menu.
I have lived here many years. Don’t waste your money!

I ordered the sweet-and-sour shrimp, the shrimp was not with fresh shrimp. It was mushy and very oily, the fried rice was just regular rice colored with soy sauce no flavor at all , the young lady at the desk was polite, but you heard the cook yelling across the whole dining room dining room, they only had one table And it was pretty much empty. The eggroll was OK. I also ordered two spring rolls. I love spring rolls, but that was not good and for the small portions in the price did not equate to goodness especially with the food not being great. I try to give them another chance in a week later, I just ordered sweet-and-sour shrimp again. It was mushy. It had an aftertaste; with the meal. You would get seven sweet-and-sour shrimp. If you order it by itself, they give you 12 and just for the single order of just the sweet-and-sour shrimp which was more than the meal which was to go I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only reason why I went there is that it was referred to me from a friend, but I went because I have a broken wrist that’s in a cast and also a sprained ankle and leg! I can make it better at my home and will be glad once this cast it’s off because that is not Chinese food that is garbage and I can make better at my own home from scratch… PERIOD

I was recommended here by a friend who thought the old owners (Gary and Miss May) were still the owners but they’re not it’s a new woman and she is rude, & lack great customer service! I ordered the pepper steak w/ onions & the meat was all fat meat! Very chewy, very weird texture and didn’t taste a bit lil steak! Idk what type of meat it was but it wasn’t regular meat! The rice was reheated up the bell peppers weren’t fresh & I spent $17 which was a waste of money honestly! The woman that took my order wasn’t friendly at all and lacked customer service skills. There was a lot of yelling and laughing in the back while they were cooking the food. Do not recommend for family and friends unless you dong care about the mystery meat!

Not much for atmosphere going on but it’s the only Chinese food that I will eat in this town. Mandarin cuisine and I prefer Human or Sezuhan so I always ask for extra spicy and they can’t get it spicy enough. If you want no flavour, eat Cantonese, if you want sweet and syrupy, eat Mandarin but if you like spicy, you need Hunan or Sezuhan. I prefer Thai food and requests for Thai hot are ignored so I settle for this food. The thing I really love is Tofu and veggies. They fry the Tofu perfectly. A bit heavy handed with the oil but still, if I want Chinese I get it from Evergreen.

Buffet food was good but it was cold. If they had a better way of keeping the food warm it’ll be better. Nice staff, clean establishment and decent prices
