We’ve been traveling around Philly seeing high school theater productions so we plan to try a new restaurant near each venue.
For this event, we chose Everest Indian Cuisine and definitely enjoyed our pick! The menu primarily has typical Indian dishes and smells great when you enter the small dining room.
The staff was attentive, efficient and offered great conversation and recommendations as well as pointing out the Nepalese items for us.
First, we shared Nepalese Chicken Momo which had great flavor, especially paired with my icy cold BYO beer.
My wife opted for Butter Chicken, which had a very flavorful sauce I kept stealing samples of with my naan. Many times this dish can be one-dimensional, but this was a top-notch version.
I ordered the Everest Biryanis, which had tender lamb, moist chicken and perfectly cooked shrimp. I’m not sure if it is an Indian or Nepalese version, but it had crispy onions, cashews and some heat from green chiles (I think). It was fantastic.
If I lived closer to Huntingdon Valley, PA this would be on my regular rotation. I’m sure I’ll make it back at some point though! Thank You!

Update: I’ve been sick all night into the morning. I’m assuming I have good poisoning because why else would I be throwing up and having consistent trips to the bathroom. I’m not very happy and I for sure am not feeling good at all.
First time ever coming here with my boyfriend. It’s a shame. I wanted to like it here after reading the reviews. But I was served raw chicken. We did get that appetizer taken off the bill, asked if we wanted anything else. Since they threw away everything on my plate I asked for more butter chicken. Though the waitress who looked distraught apologized Profusely her apology means nothing to me as she was not the person who made the food. I would of wanted the chef to come to my table and sincerely apologize and they can’t use he was busy cooking as an excuse because there were only 2 other tables taken both already have gotten their food and 1 family leaving. The food tasted good of what I actually ate. But since the chef couldn’t come out and apologize himself we won’t be coming back. It’s all about customer satisfaction and service. Also it was very dingy and dark in there and seemed very outdated. I’m just hoping I don’t get sick because I did eat half the chicken I was served.

we were here for breakfast today. We ordered Chana masala, Panera tikka masala, garlic nun, onion nun and the dishes came with a side of rice. they had free bottled water. for starter they gave us pappad and chutney. I asked them if they serve halal food, they said they serve halal food vegetarian but I didn’t see any Halal sign so we stick to vegetarian. food was tasty and their behavior was good. overall it was a nice experience and I recommended It.

Absolutely delicious, home cooked fresh dishes! My husband and I had samosas, chicken chili, korma, tiki masala, garlic naan and desserts. Service was great!!! Everything was amazing and we will definitely be back soon!!!!

Me and My Husband went to Everest for dinner yesterday , as it was my Birthday . The interior was beautiful ,clean and cozy. Food was excellent. We Loved everything we had for dinner. But the Best Dishes were :- Seekh Kabab, Momos and the Star of the evening was Everest Special Biryani just soooooooo Good. I also liked the Chilli chicken but it was just a bit too tangy. Thnx Guy’s for making our Evening so Scrumptious ❣️❣️❣️

If I could give this 10 stars I would. INCREDIBLE. I have been in the area for a few years and have been desperate for good Indian food comparable to Hamtramck Michigan and HERE IT IS.
This is my dream and I am a happy girl. 100000% will be back. You can expect to see me every week.

Have not been here but my wife comes and gets food for lunch and will bring home the rest. I can say in few days will come in to eat. Food is fantastic and fresh and enjoy eating it.

Food is good but extremely expensive for the portions they give you. The photos show an UberEats order I got recently. UberEats does charge more but even if I subtracted $5 from each entree I still would have paid over $40 for this meal. In total with tip everything was $65.
