Food was great as always! I like the sloppy Joan or sloppy mack and I’m excited to start my punch card.
They have a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches like teriyaki chicken, Boar’s Head meats, tuna mac & cheese, or you can even build your own. Each sandwich is grilled cheese with a twist, making the menu fun and creative.
The place is small, with only four tables and some barstool seating around the counter, which is perfect for a quick bite with a couple of friends. Outdoor seating is available when the weather is nice, but large groups will find it a bit tight.
One thing to keep in mind is that it can get pretty busy, and wait times can be long. I’ve seen people wait up to 15 minutes, which feels long considering you order at the counter and seat yourself.
The staff works hard, but even with five people behind the counter, they can struggle to keep up during rushes, so be prepared to be patient.
No need to tip since there’s no table service, and you handle cleanup yourself. Sandwiches can be pricey—some options go up to $11 just for one grilled cheese sandwich —but overall, it’s a fun place worth trying.
Favorites include the Mac & Cheese, Socra Cheese and the Messy Jesse.
I went on a solo mission to experience Naperville and this was the sunset cherry on top of a lovely summery day. Service was friendly and inviting and the food was even better. You can’t go wrong with a grilled cheese and that seems to be the mantra of the whole place: so many options, but whatever you end up getting will be delicious. In addition to my sandwich (the Greek-inspired socra-cheez), I loved the Tommy Mack (tomato soup + mac n cheese), and the menu has a delightful sense of humor. I can’t wait to be back and bring my friends next time!
This was my first time here and My apartment staff highly recommended that I tried this place.
Unfortunately this is not the level of customer service that builds a new customer base. I hope that improves because first impressions are everything.
