I’m 1/8th Polish on my mother’s side and I went to Poland 24 years ago and Polish food is one of my favorites. Having Euro Deli so close to my house is a real treat. They have the best and freshest kielbasa around. If you’ve never going to a Polish deli you might be overwhelmed by the variety of kielbasa that they have but ask them and they’ll gladly tell you the differences in flavor. If you’ve only had processed store bought kielbasa like Hillshire Farms and never had it from a Polish deli you don’t know what you’re missing. Another favorite of mine is pasztetowa (pronounced Pash-te-tova). It’s Polish liverwurst. If you like liverwurst you’ll be blown away by how much better this is than the stuff you get at the supermarket. I buy the one that’s in a gold wrap, it comes in a log about as long as a hot dog but as think as a can of soda and you cut the slices as think as you want. Other great food here is the stuffed cabbage, and Bigos (hunters stew) which is made with fermented cabbage and chunks of pork in a sauce that’s kinda like a gravy it’s hard to describe but it’s DELICIOUS. There are several Polish delis in the area but Euro Deli is my favorite by far.

A buddy took me here after we ate at a local El Salvadorean restaurant a block away. Got a few kielbasa’s and a bunch of great tasting European desserts. I would just come back for the desserts as they were delicious.

Great food, when we come back to Long Island to visit our friends and family we try to always stop in! Check them out! The car smelled great for the 10 hour ride home!

Being of Polish descent I usually enjoy visiting Polish delis. However, this visit was not so enjoyable. The store is small and cramped. People reaching over you to get at things they want. No please, excuse me or thank yous heard. Seemed as though most of the patrons spoke Polish, I do not and I felt it. We were interested in purchasing some smoked kielbasa with the upcoming Easter holiday. The counter help was very unwelcoming especially when I spoke in English. We also purchased kabanosy and pierogi. I asked to buy a butter lamb (which is traditional for the holiday and on display in their case) it seemed like she didn’t want to sell it to me…as she hesitated and had to consult with another person…why I do not know. The products we purchased were ok except the kielbasa and kabanosy were way too smoky. My family has been having this type of food since I was a child and this was not enjoyable. The smoke tasted artificial.
Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Love this gem. When I need some food that feels like home away from home it’s the closest to that. Love the variety of food.

Highly recommend! Absolutely the finest of Polish food. It’s as good as my grandmother used to make. Sometimes at holidays there’s a line but I promise it’s worth the short wait. The staff is fantastic at getting your order together and the selection is beautiful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else . May I add I just noticed a review stating Americans were overlooked. Absolutely Not!! I don’t speak Polish and have been coming here for years and have always been treated respectfully and politely. This store smells like home growing up.
