Food was good. Not great. Waitresses were friendly and helpful. Not alot of fries with the frozen burger. Didn’t like that the pickles and mozerella sticks were covered in fried fish.

My wife and I were bored so we wanted to go somewhere we had never been. We headed to Elizabethtown and the E’town River Restaurant. About an hour and a 1/2 drive for us. We had never been, so we thought we’d check it out. The place has been there a good while and is a little run down and a little bit dirty. It sits right on the water and is very small and can only hold about 45 people inside but ample seating outside. There was only one server working, but she was outstanding. She did everything from taking our order to cleaning the tables to checking us out. I ordered a catfish nugget dinner, which came with Hush puppies and 3 sides. I ordered onion rings, slaw, and baked beans. My wife ordered catfish nugget snack, which was 5 catfish nuggets and 3 hush puppies. My wife was not crazy about the catfish, but I was OK with the fish. However, the hush puppies were not quite done; they were a little mushy in the middle. The slaw was good, but the baked beans were just basically beans out of a can heated up in a saucepan, I suspect. Although it was a unique experience, we will not make the hour and a 1/2 drive to go back again.

Wonderful location. Great motorcycle ride. Our whole group got the river cat special and everyone was more than satisfied sweet tea was good as well. Will definitely be making a return trip. And on a side note two barges went by while eating dinner

Great little place on the Ohio River. Not fancy which is fine with me. The catfish nuggets were awesome and there was a lot. I would recommend the potato salad, tater tots, baked beans and hush puppies. My husband also like the coleslaw and chicken tenders. If you’re looking for fried food this is the place. Our server was very friendly, she was working by herself and there was a large party that wanted separate checks and she didn’t get frustrated at all. We weren’t in a hurry just like everyone else which I think helped her out. I definitely recommend this place if you happen to be in the area.

A bit off the beaten path for dinner..but well worth the drive and ferry ride from western Kentucky. The catfish river nuggets are so good!! Highly recommend the river nuggets. Cooked perfectly and no fishy taste at all. Even the non fish eaters would enjoy them.

This restaurant is fantastic!! It’s been a few years since I have been but it’s just a good now as it was then. This time was really special because I was able to bring my 3 girls to see it all for the first time and they went crazy when they saw it floating on the river!!!

What a wonderful place to eat. I not a big fan of catfish but I was delicious. They are other options of food but why would you drive to this place and not eat fish. Be ready to wait for about 30-40 but the wait is worth it. The portion of the wood is very large so come with a empty stomach. You might lose sign on the way there, the easiest way to make it is to Google Elizabeth town

Went for lunch to this long time local eatery right on the Ohio River. I was told the fish was the best around so ordered the river fish platter with fries, beans, slaw and hushpuppies. The place is quaint, clean and the service was great. The fries, beans and slaw were good but the hushpuppies were over cooked and not to my liking. The fish, however, was outstanding, light flaky and perfectly cooked making the trip totally worth it! Definitely recommend, the fish was that good!

Food is all homemade and delicious. Although the sides are small, and they don’t let you substitute for other sides. Average priced, for 2 people cost was $23. You definitely pay for the view, its beautiful. Sitting and eating is not great for those who have motion sickness or get seasick the whole boat rocks. Overall it was great and we had fun

The setting is unique, the service was great, the food was tasty and the view was fantastic. How many floating restaurants have you eaten at? This was a first for my wife and me. You enter via a series of railed planks that rise or fall to accommodate the prevailing water level of the Ohio river. Your order is placed at the counter and your food is brought to your table by one of the waitresses. There are several tables inside and others at a neighboring two story picnic area floating next to the restaurant. There are slips for several boats to tie up and enter via the Ohio river. The view across the Ohio is amazing. It’s over an hour drive from our home but well worth the effort.
