Visited here specifically for their Tres Leches Cake, which is their most popular cake.
Parking: There’s a large parking lot with plenty of spots. There’s 30 min spots in front of the store too.
Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space. All the pastries, cakes, and hot items are displayed and labeled. They have plenty of pastries but very limited cakes. There is no seating whatsoever. It’s a quick grab-n-go location.
Service: I was warmly greeted by the cashier. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name. She helped me pick out the cake and nicely wrapped it in a box. Some workers speak English, while others only speak Spanish.
Cakes & offerings: All their pastries are decorated beautifully and look delicious. Again, I mainly came for their Tres Leches Cake. Their cakes are 8 inches. Perfect size to feed a family. They offer slices of cakes as well and smaller decorative cakes. Now I know why their Tres Leches Cake is so popular! The cake is absolutely moist and not too sweet! The fruits were fresh. I think it would’ve been better without the excessive amount of buttercream, but it was easy to scrape off. I really enjoyed this!
Pricing: The cake was $43.67 after taxes. Pretty decent prices compared to supply chain bakeries. Highly recommend their Tres Leches Cake! Will be back to try their pastries!

Super cute, very clean and nice staff. Make pupusas to order and are delicious. Bread was amazing and prices were reasonable for the items I purchased.
UPDATE: I went in again on this Friday as I loved their food. I grabbed multiple baggies of their Empeñadas de piña y guava. Yesterday night(Saturday which was only the next day from the purchase date) I realized there was very OBVIOUS MOLD GROWTH! What a shame/disappointing and concerning. Mold starts growing before you see it so I wonder how long they were sitting. Photos included. I’ve only gone in there twice now so I don’t think I’ll be going back.

I am visiting from Seattle and visited for my first time, but it won’t be my last! The staff were so incredibly friendly, the food is delicious and the agua fresca is freshly made and just what I needed at the end of a long travel day!! They made me feel so welcomed and I highly recommend! I’m so sad I’m missing Pupusa Day this Sunday I ordered the pork and cheese pupusa, conchas, arroz con leche, and strawberry fresca.

Hands down one of the best bakery’s that I have been to! Their conchas are definitely one thing that is always on our family party dessert table. We have been ordering from Estrella de Mexicali for the last couple of years and it never disappoints. They offer a variety of other yummy desserts and food as well. Every time I walk into the bakery it always smells so good with all the fresh baked bread that they sale. The staff is always so friendly and ready to help you when you walk in. My wedding cake and gender reveal desserts came out amazing. I will definitely continue to order from here in the future!!

My family and I have been using this bakery since we moved into the area in 2019. They use quality ingredients and everything is made fresh. They have the best tortillas, conchas, cakes, and bread. We get all our desserts for parties from here. They also offer food catering and it’s delicious! Hands down the best bakery in the OC.

I went in unfortunately when the food was almost sold out so I didn’t get what I had hoped for so we will be returning soon and at a better time of day the place was super clean and organized the staff was beyond friendly walking in an emerging aroma of sweet breads they also carry menudo, bolio, carnitas, chicharron, flan as well as ready to go hot foods they also prepare cakes for any occasion (wedding, day of dead, quinceneria and many more)

Very clean and friendly! Talk to the chef if you have allergies. I do have allergies and the owner/chef camenoit and helped me. Her name is Blanca and she is from Mexicali! They do speak English well if you have a concern with that. Authentic pastries and breads. They bake 3 times a day. You can also buy tortillas. The food is amazing as well! I have only tried the Mexican food and pastries. I grew up near Mexicali so I do know what I’m eating is good. Prices are very reasonable. There is no seating. It is taken out only. Which to me is what the bakeries are I grew up with. You even take a tray and tongues and load up your tray. Just like I grew up with. ❤️
