This was the second time dining at Plaka, and my friend and I decided to come try out restaurant week. Between the both of us, we wanted to try the mussels and the dips (The tzatziki is fantastic!) and shared the moussaka and crabcake. Dessert was to die for. Everything exceeded our expectations, including the service! One of the best parts of the meal was having Lynn as the server, she was one of the best servers we’ve had and was attentive, knowledgeable, and personal – we hope to come back soon and have her as our server again!

My bride decided she wanted to check this place out for her birthday dinner and we went with our two daughters.
Parking is easy if the bank across the street is closed. Nice corner spot for this relatively new addition to the area. The atmosphere is delightful-> fresh and clean with a bakery section and restaurant/bar section.
Our server was a beautiful young Greek girl, (Ria?) that was with us every step of the way. We started with the Octopus, Calamari and Shrimp appetizers. The presentation was beautiful. The octopus was delicious, perhaps a bit on the tough side but the garnish was terrific. We expected more from the calamari.. the breading was too thick for what we have come to expect from true Mediterranean calamari. The shrimp was to die for with a sauce with whipped feta ! Yum…
The mixed grill entree is enough for three people of you have a couple of apps. It too was scrumptious. Then we had a desert there and a the girls wanted a couple to take home.
We had the one there with a sparkler and a Happy Birthday song. A terrific evening!

This was the best dining experience that I’ve had in a long time in Baltimore. The food was impeccable! I had the short ribs bechamel with gemelli pasta. It could have fed two people! Generous portions of on beef, so tender and juicy. Usually I find this cut too fatty, but it was perfect! It had the creamiest bechamel sauce that melted well with the juices from the meat. The pasta was perfectly cooked too! They gave a delicious, warm bread basket with rosemary and olive oil when we arrived and it went very well with the haloumi cheese and tomatoes. Excellent wine list along with cocktails. My husband got the crab cake. The chef came by to see how we liked the food, and he shared that the recipe was from G&M. If you know the Baltimore crab cake scene, you know G&M has been the GOAT for a long time, so you won’t be disappointed. Packed tight with jumbo lump – enough to please even the snobbiest of crab cake connoisseurs. We were going to skip dessert, but walking out passed a decadent wall of baked goods, we couldn’t resist grabbing a few things. The hazelnut cake was so good it almost had me in tears. The baklava Gelato was the star, though. Huge portion and only $3!
The wait staff was friendly, fun, and knowledgeable, providing excellent service. We never had to wait for refills on drinks and the food courses were perfectly paced.
The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, but also felt modern and upscale. You truly felt like you had been transported to the Mediterranean.
Im truly looking forward to returning and trying something new!

Went last night for my birthday and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is beautifully lit, clean and comfortable. The service (I believe our servers name was Priya?) was fantastic. I have severe allergy to alcohol which usually drastically reduces my options because kitchens are not willing or are unable to accommodate but they said they can make anything safe so my parents and shared everything! We loved it all.
We ordered baked feta in phyllo with honey and sesame seeds, calamari with squid ink mayo, lamb chops (they did forget the side but so did we because we were too busy enjoying the rest of the food), seafood linguini and moussaka. Unfortunately we couldn’t try a dessert because we had a cake at home but easily in all of our top 5 favs.
We will DEFINITELY be back, especially for the bakery! Surpassed my birthday dinner dreams.

I was working with Estiatorio Plaka to plan a private dinner event. I do not have much experience but their catering director Antonia (Toni) and the entire team was incredibly patient, kind and professional with all of my questions throughout the process — Toni really makes sure you are all good to go in terms of venue and food.
The venue itself is gorgeous with a lot of natural lighting even before decorations are all set up. They have two options for rooms upstairs depending on the size of your party. Parking is also free in a nearby lot just across the street. The bakery on the main floor which has a lot of delicious options as well. Highly recommend working with this team to plan a private event, reception, or gathering.
This team genuinely wants to see your events come to life and be successful! I will defnitely be working with them again in the future.

This is Baltimore’s top rated restaurant for 2025…… In my opinion. At first glace the curb appeal is clean and welcoming, as if you’re walking into a restaurant in Greece. The area is the perfect spot for a authentic Greek restaurant to make sure the Greek culture is a continuous staple… Walking into the bakery you will feel welcome and wanting to come back… The staff was welcoming… Dean John the waiter was great.. He made sure I had what I needed.. After his reinsurance of the menu choices the bread and food came out as if I was in a Michelin Star restaurant.. at the right time and temperature… Plus MORE… The lamb roast and pork was to die for… I love food so if you need a great meal take it from a food lover…… Overall a great place to enjoy a meal with the family.

This was my first time trying authentic Greek cuisine and it set the standard very high. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and down to earth, and the atmosphere was lovely and clean. Our server was fantastic and everything we had was delicious. I’m already looking forward to the next time we go here. I was too full to think about buying any extra pastries to bring home and now regret that decision lol! This is my new favorite restaurant in MD. The minor struggle to find parking on a Saturday was worth it!
