First time visit. Very much enjoyed everything I tried. Started with beef fajita nachos supreme. Large nachos. Tasty guacamole and crema. Solid table sauce. Fresh chips. Service was incredibly prompt, tentative, and made great recommendations. I had the chicken- stuffed avocado as my entree. Perfectly fried and delicious with nice cheesy chicken mix on top of Chipotle sauce. The special part was the house made habanero dressing on the side for that dish. It was packed with flavor and a little kick for those that enjoy a bit of heat. Think I’ll head down for the brunch on Saturday. They make a breakfast quesadilla that has my name on it. Full bar if you like a drink. Also some good happy hour specials on drinks and apps. I had a Topo Chico with a nice glass of ice and slice of lime. Thanks guys. Keep it up!

Really fun place to eat. Not a Hugh selection of food. Food good. I didn’t enjoy the coconut margarita to me it tasted like medicine. Overall everything was great!

Service was great. Very friendly atmosphere! Drinks were great but go premium it made a difference from the house. Margarita. You can tell they have great local service and strive to have a fun atmosphere! This is a great place for local regulars.

Was here on Valentine’s Day. The fajita meat was tasteless and one piece was so hard it hurt my tooth after. I’m still in pain today actually. Portions were awkwardly small and prices were high. Kids nuggets had 3 nuggets for $8. Myself, wife and my other 2 kids (had the enchiladas) all got diarrhea that night and stomach aches that lasted into the next day. It physically caused me pain to eat here. Service was fine but not willing to be sympathetic. Food took 40 minutes. Nice decorations but everything was dirty, bathroom not stocked and the news about murder playing on the tv. Yikes. Put on a game.

Not sure what to do about my tooth. Ester advice?

Esther’s is a great place for classic tex-mex food, on Main St. in Buda, Texas. The atmosphere is very artsy with each wall looking like an Instagram museum. The inside seating is ample and they also outdoor patio which was very nice. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, the food was excellent as were the margaritas. Overall this is an excellent spot to try and worth driving to Buda if you live i the surrounding area. Two thumbs up for Esther’s!

Great little place to hang in Buda with very reasonable prices. I’d be remiss not to start with how awesome their margaritas are! (You can also get a few to go)

The food here is solid Tex-Mex. We recently went and had the mixed fajitas with chicken, steak and chorizo – I’ve never had them this way but they were really good. Typical sides, rice and beans and chips/salsa. I like their queso compuesto too. We like the service and the atmosphere. The music is always great and super nice staff. Again, do yourself a favor and get their margaritas!

We’ll see then again soon!

I’m giving two stars for the ambiance and for the waitress we had. I didn’t catch her name, but she was lovely! As for the food…I was honestly shocked at how bad it was. I specifically came for tacos. They have tacos on the menu online, but not only did they not have tacos, they barely had anything on the menu. I got the fried avocado with ground beef and there was no cheese, which I thought was strange. The food tasted like there was no salt, no spice, nothing. Apparently their margaritas are good. Maybe I’ll give it a go during happy hour and edit my review if they’re as good as I’m told!

I don’t leave reviews often, but I felt the need to share my experience. This was my first time visiting Esther’s Mexican Restaurant in Buda, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing visit. We were the only customers in the restaurant. I ordered egg and sausage tacos, only to be told they had no sausage. The silverware on the table was dirty, the bacon that was brought out was cold, and the potatoes I ordered never arrived. Overall, the service and food quality were unacceptable. I won’t be returning, especially with several better Mexican restaurant options available in the Kyle/Buda area.

The outdoor appealing is sort of kind and since we have been living around here for years, we decided to stop here. Atmosphere indoor is nice too, presentation of their plates are good, but very pricey for what you get. Our steak quesadilla had a terrible taste (no spice at all with weird taste). Our Chicken Flautas (just 2) were very hard to chew. Chicken chunks too dried untasty. We paid a big check for something that could be cheaper and tasty in other much better restaurants around the area. Service was nice. Definitely I dont recimend this place and of course, won’t go back. Sorry.

Not only is the atmosphere fun and welcoming, but the food is absolutely fantastic—and the staff couldn’t be kinder! I came in with my husband and son, and multiple servers stopped by to interact with him. They were so genuine, funny, and warm, which made us feel right at home.

This is officially our new weekend spot! The charro beans are the best I’ve had in Texas, hands down. And even my son—who’s usually a picky eater—devoured the rice, chips, salsa, and enchiladas. He couldn’t get enough of the salsa, which is saying something since it was the first time he’s ever loved something with a little spice.

Highly recommend!
