A decent Mexican restaurant that offers a good variety on the menu. We had the shrimp tacos which were a bit messy and simple given their price, however they did have a nice buttery flavor. We also ordered one beef enchilada and one chicken enchilada lunch combo, but we ended up with two chicken enchiladas instead. Regardless, they were tasty, so we didn’t mind too much. The rice and beans had a bit of a hard crust on top, as if they had been left under the heat lamp for too long. The staff were friendly, and our food arrived quickly. Overall, it wasn’t the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever tried, but it wasn’t the worst either. The lunch menu had more reasonable prices, though the other options off the lunch menu were a bit overpriced.

Esteban’s is our go-to for Mexican food in Oak Harbor. We order to-go quite often and it is always hot and fresh. Tonight we opted to dine in and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the Enchilada Jalisco, the picadillo was a bit dry but the chicken and shredded beef were excellent. All 3 sauces were flavorful and complimentary to the meats. My husband had the carnitas tacos. A great deal and wonderful meal.

Went for Lunch on a Wednesday. My dad said he’d been there and enjoyed it.. it was a first time for me. He ordered the shrimp enchiladas and he enjoyed them very much. I took a pic – his plate was huge! He took his leftovers home, said it was good enough to bring home. I got the Beef chimi on the lunch menu. Comes with rice &beans. I asked for the guacamole and sour cream to be ‘on the side.’ Was assured they would be. I should have been more specific. Guacamole and SC were flopped on top of my shredded lettuce/salad so I could not use it. And I guess I thought a fried chimi would be crispy. It was not. It was so chewy all I could do was tear it apart with my fork and knife. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t great either. Meh.

The food was excellent! I ordered the chicken chimichanga. The chicken was either pulled or shredded, just how I wanted it. The chimichanga tasted great.
The service was excellent. Even though I had to return my Arnold Palmer drink twice, because something was floating in the glass when I stirred it, my server did not lose his patience or did he get frustrated. He worked with me to get a drink that didn’t have floaters in it.
The restaurant was very neat, tidy, and clean. I sat in a booth with overstuffed bench seats. It’s been my experience that most places more than a couple years old have those overstuffed seats that are flat and bottom out when sat on. Not at Esteban’s! The seats were very nice.
I enjoyed my lunch and if not for the problems with my drink, I would have rated it a 5-star experience.

Nice place to grab some Mexican food. Portions were good. Food was tasty. And server was friendly. The burrito was full of steak.

My husband loves this place. Its hit or miss for me. The food can be inconsistent. The chicken tamales are not good. The chips and salsa are pretty good. I do like the tortilla soup but the spices can be extreme. Overall it’s a place worth a try. The service is topnotch. Prices are fair.

Cute family-owned Mexican restaurant. The salsa seems so fresh and is delicious. I ordered the seafood chimichanga and it was really good! Service was good. My friend ordered tacos and the corn tortillas kept breaking and dumping out all the food, but everything tasted good. I would totally eat here again.

The vegan burrito is absolutely amazing! I have been meaning to write this review for a while! I usually dig in to my burrito before remembering I wanted to take a picture. Now I have several different pictures of this burrito before I’ve started eating it, and what I love most about this burrito is its consistency! Every single time, it is consistently delicious! It is bursting with such delicious flavor, and an incredible amount of veggies! This is hands-down my go-to for an amazing vegan burrito!
