— Thanks for your reply. I did say that it was the larger type sausage, but for $6,,I would expect more. The iced tea could have been $3 I did not have my glasses but I apologize for the mistake, and sir, we just asked for water without asking for bottled as she usually does, first time ever being charged for what anyone would expect to be a glass of water. Finally, if you don’t think I could get a decent breakfast for less than $25 per, I could list many options, but I don’t feel the need to advertise other places on your page. Finally, there was considerably less than 16 ounces in that cup, I would say much closer to 10.
THIS is the place to go. It’s quaint. It’s clean. The staff makes you feel as though you walked into your grandmama’s house, wondering what took you so long to get there. Most importantly, the food is always delicious. You can tell meals are made to order with fresh ingredients, and they go a step beyond with making it appeal to all your senses.
They’ve just recently, in the past few months, made some really great updates. Enough to make it feel a bit updated, but not so much that it loses that homey feeling we all love when eating our favorite pancakes totally drenched in syrup.
To me, this place checks all the boxes and, in at time, when going out to eat is almost ALWAYS unsatisfying, it’s awesome to know that our little area has Essl’s to go to that you can count on.
And when you’re there, remember to look at their specials, as well as their “Baked Goods” shelf!
I loved the pancakes! I make my own pancakes from scratch and theirs are better. Much better. I got the cinnamon bun pancakes and my family was asking me for bites. I’m glad I got the three stack.
The waitresses were full of life and hilarious. I enjoyed their company.
If I ever find myself in Atlantic City again, I’d love to visit again to study their pancake making secrets.
