Bit of a mixed bag.
We went on Valentines day on the off chance of grabbing lunch. (We didn’t book, so somewhat busy.) We were seated in the terrace and our drink and food orders were taken. The drinks came out after 10 minutes and the food came out after…1¼ hours. My wife had half a lobster (which looked like it had been on a diet) and salad. I had mussels in a white sauce and sweet potato chips. The chips and salad were both at an additional costs. My wife wasn’t impressed by the amount of meat on her lobster, I was very impressed by the amount of mussels and sauce. We then had a dessert. Unfortunately, the wrong menu was bought out. My wife had a red velvet cake (which we were informed was freshly made…yesterday) and I had strawberry pavlova. My wife wasn’t happy that it wasn’t moist and wasn’t a red velvet cake all the way through as vanilla sponge layers had been added and had dried out. My pavlova was good with lots of fresh strawberries and cream. The service did let it down. Now, I know that they’re very busy especially today, but waiting an hour and 15 minutes for our meals to arrive was ridiculous. I had to go to the bar to order replacement drinks as we were seated in a conservatory and seemed that we were forgotten about.
Total cost was £65 with two zero alcohol beers and two Appletisers.

I came across this place after googling seafood boils in Essex.
My son wanted to try it for his birthday. The food was outstanding literally couldn’t fault it, but I am a little disappointed that I was only advised when paying the bill bill that they advise to order 1 seafood boil between 2 and add extras the portions were huge and my son isn’t the biggest for his age.
At £39,95 a heads it’s still very reasonable price but we ordered 1 each and wasn’t advised when ordering that 1 between 2 would be enough and most certainly would have been.
So as much as we were really impressed with the food I feel a little disappointed that there advice wasn’t given and we spent a lot of money for 3 people.

Absolutely little gem of restaurant in the most unusual location. Staff were knowledgeable of the food and very attentive. The food it self was very flavoursome and would highly recommend a visit.

It is what it is.
No airs or graces. The menu is a good length and generally varied choices.
The starter was a good calamari with a nice dressing.
Main was a baked Peterhead cod with new potatoes. The code was nice slightly lacking in seasoning but well cooked. The potato’s were nicely cooked and good butter coating too.
The dessert was a pavlova that, even for me was a bit too much cream needed a little more fruit through it s’more meringue less cream.
Helpful staff
Clean “mixed bathing” toilets.
Ps if staff are going to have a conversation about validity of someone not there today’s gift card, better not to discuss details including volume of tips on valentines night, out loud.

Lovely meal today, food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back, but I was disappointed that the menu didn’t include items on the web menu, I was looking forward to trying the seafood broil and the lobster mac and cheese.

First time eating in this place. Recommended by a colleague. Tuck away in a small industrial estate in North Benfleet. Has been in operation for 2 years. Nice decor and attentive staff. Seafood restaurant. Had the calamari with home made tartar sauce which was very good. My wife had the panko crusted pawns with sweet chilli sauce which she found to be be very good. For the Mains , my wife has the seafood soup. The depth of taste was very good and generous portions! I have the skate wing which was fresh and tasty and done just right. It was a lovely restaurant and food was excellent. A real find! Price point is also good. A rare find for seafood lovers. They also have a seafood bar in the day time for Wednesday to Sunday. The do breakfast on the weekend. We definitely go there again!

So happy I found this hidden gem! We arrived very close to the end of working hours for a quick oyster break but still were very welcomed and served. The staff is very nice and friendly, helped with a choice. I tried 3 different “breeds” but my favourite remains the Maldon one, which they also serve. All delicious even in the evening, will definitely be back soon!

Booked table for Wife’s birthday. Stated when I booked she is Gluton Free. She wanted sea bass but it was sold out so chose grilled cod with chips. Told chips aren’t Gluton Free as cooked with flour on them (never heard of that before) and sold out of jacket potatoes & mash potatoes (this is at 5pm), no option left other than walking out & finding another restaurant. Obviously poor stock management

A lovely little seafood nook just off the A127. Their calamari and prawn starters were amazing, and my skate was delicious, the lobster with mac & cheese was super cheesy. I only gave 4 stars for food as the lobster in the brioche rolls was a bit rubbery. Otherwise a very enjoyable meal and great service.

A lovely little restaurant in Essex. Visited for a quick sea food treat, and we were not disappointed. We reserved a table using quandoo online, and it was quick and easy to book. On arrival, we were shown to our table and immediately given the menus. Drinks arrived promptly, and food came shortly after. The food was nice. I had the sea food boil, and I was not disappointed. Would have loved to have a bit of tiger prawns in it, though, but it was still lovely. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff and guests were very friendly and chatty
All in all, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area
