So much to love about this independent coffee shop in downtown Midland – a cozy, inviting atmosphere; indoor and outdoor seating; an impressive variety of coffee, tea and blended beverages; tasty snacks and a super friendly, knowledgable and hospitable barista. My friend and I will definitely return here next time we meet in Midland!

It was exactly as expected. A non-mainstream coffee house complete with handwritten chalk board menu and patchouli aroma. Great service. Great coffee. Even made an off menu cortado for me. It was great.

Vegan friendly coffee shop!! Has vegan snacks and most of their mochas can be made vegan as well! Service was very helpful. Coffee is mocha-y!

Each barista is friendly and guest service focused. The atmosphere is nice but seems a bit outdated. All of the whole bean coffee is available as a pour over (hopefully as French Press one day soon) and can get served in a coffee mug. And what really caught my attention is that when your beverage is ready, rather than call it out, the barista will deliver it to your table!

Seriously… these baristas are really good. I have rarely found a coffeehouse where each barista knows how to properly froth milk and also make a proper dry cappuccino.

Coffee here is the best. Yesterday I got the Mocha and it was really really good, however the almind poppy seed muffin was the WORST I’ve ever had anywhere! I wish the barista told me that it was not fresh “at all” like literally it was hard as a rock, I thought maybe inside could be softer, but nope, super dryI’m really disappointed for the money I wasted on it ! The problem is I didn’t have time to go back again and ask for another one or a refund!

Great vibe but quite crowded – barista seemed annoyed when I asked if the drink he had called was what I ordered

I’ve came here a few times for snacks and coffee. They use high quality, freshly roasted beans and staff is friendly! I was talking to my barista about beans I like and he gave me free samples of the house brew which was DELICIOUS! Brazilian beans. I walked out with a 6 shot latte with a little hazelnut. It wasn’t overly sweet and the coffee was still the highlight of the sip, the milk and hazelnut just enhanced it. Check them out if you’re downtown!

Update: my favorite coffee house has vindicated themselves, the pic that actually looks like a cappuccino is the best, driest cappucino I have had in longer than I can remember. The foam was dense, mounded beyond the rim of the cup and extended half way down into the cup, heavenly and absolutely perfect. Thank you for restoring my faith. Edit: it is with a heavy heart I update this review. This morning I stopped at Espresso Milano for a dry cappuccino, I’ve included a picture with this update because what I received barely could be considered a cappuccino and was definitely not dry in any sense of the word. I always ask that they not put a lid on my cappuccino because only an uncultured heathen would do that and ruin the foam, but it wouldn’t have mattered this time because the foam was more like milk bubbles that popped away on their own to leave what you see, basically a latte and definitely not what I ordered. Espresso Milano has been my favorite coffee shop since they opened in the late 1990s. No matter if I’m in the mood for a dry cappuccino or a candy bar flavored coffee drink the baristas made it perfect every time, until now…
