I am a Gringo, but kind of an expert with Mexican Food. And my Spouse is from Mexico.
We ate here Monday, 04/14/25, around 2:00 p., it was our first visit.
The food was very good!
Pros:
BYOB
Okay prices.
Food:
Mole Oaxaqueño con Pechuga Pollo.
(Chicken Breast)
Huarache con Chorizo
(Mexican Sausage)
Guacamole was fresh.
All was Authentic, and Good.
Cons:
Outdated Decor and Pizzeria Restaurant from the late 1980’s (?).
That would be okay, if it were clean.
Floors, walls, etc. are DIRTY.
Hallway to bathrooms being used for food storage.
Vegetable Boxes ( not empty ) sitting directly on the Floor.
See pics of the men’s room.
Needs maintenance and cleaning!!!
If this is what the front of the house looks like, I can only imagine!!! WOW.
*****I would NOT eat here again or order food to go, as I don’t want to chance getting sick.*****
The Server / Counter person who said she was not the owner was scrolling on her phone. A couple of workers in the kitchen and the place was dead slow. THEY SHOULD CLEAN AND MAKE REPAIRS WITH THEIR free TIME.
I really wanted to like Esposito’s. The first time I came, I was blown away by how good the food was, which made me excited to come back. Unfortunately, this second visit was the complete opposite.
First off, the prices were shockingly high—$20 for just three tacos. When I sat down, the table came with chips, but I didn’t want any sides and instead asked for queso. I had already paid by that point, so I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal. They brought the queso, which was actually pretty good—but that was about the only highlight.
What really rubbed me the wrong way was how things ended. After finishing my meal and walking out, someone literally chased me down to tell me I hadn’t paid for the queso. I went back to my car to get cash, since it seemed like the price changed depending on how you paid. The whole situation felt awkward and poorly handled.
On top of that, the staff had a dismissive, almost rude attitude that made the experience even worse. In total, I ended up paying $25 for just three tacos and some queso.
Needless to say, I won’t be coming back—and I definitely won’t be recommending this place to anyone for lunch or otherwise. Disappointed and done.
