We were looking for a late-night dinner and this food truck stood out as the best option. We ordered the Gaucho Plate – picanha & fraldinha ($23), which included sirloin cap, flap cut, rice, French fries, and an orange sauce. The portion was generous and easily enough to share between two people.

Robert on Rainey St has one of the best food trucks. We ordered the Gaucho and it was enough for 2 people. It was cooked exactly how we ordered it. Large portions.Picture is after we had several bites and thought about doing review because we were so impressed. We will definitely be back.

well the atmosphere around is good, you feel a good vibe, but the truth is the food was very bad, the fries were very salty, they only have small napkins, they say that the food is something but it ends up being something else, I ordered picanha and They gave me normal meat, I didn’t really enjoy the food. I basically threw out the entire meal.

Tender steak and a lot of food! The steak was so well with rice and French fries! I enjoyed salad with cucumber! I also liked a Brazilian soda! Everything was good!

Best Brazilian food that I had in Austin.
Best service and great atmosphere. They always have a great music and events on the weekends. I really recommend the GAUCHO PLATE, the picanha (top sirloin steak) is amazing .
I’ve been on the 2 location and they are all good.

Steak was alright. Real winner for me was their rice (comes with the plate). It had such a rich flavor that I’ve never had before from any other restaurant. I would come back just for the rice itself.

I can’t remember what it’s called, but I had the “Bazillion Philly cheese steak” and it was DELICIOUS! The guy running the truck was super nice and explained whatever needed on the menu. I really enjoyed my food. Definitely will be eating here often as a special treat!

On west campus where Rio Grande meets 26th there are bunch of food trucks, which Espadas de Brazil is located. This was my first shot there and ended up to be one of the best one. I ordered Picanha Steak sandwich, which was so good the meet was tender and mixed with spicy mayo. You should try them at least once.

Not quite sure how the food is coming straight off the trucks or trailers, but we got served this atrocity today for our catered lunch. Choices were “grilled” chicken, a 5 oz sirloin, or some massacred translation of a vegetarian dish, with something that resembled blended artichoke hearts and an assortment of random body parts from The Swamp Thing. Chicken was either baked or boiled and the “sirloin” looked like strips of beef jerky that had been partially chewed and then spit back into the rice. I’ve had authentic Brazilian food, and this was nowhere close to it. Also, you don’t put hot and cold food items into the same to-go container. Heat transfers and spoils the cold items and adds unintended moisture to the supposed “crispy” fries. A tablespoon of some assortment of salad and cucumbers was in the small portion side of the container, fries were soggy and moist, and the chicken was very salty. Rice and the meal altogether was bland other than the salt, which was abundant. There was plenty of leftovers, which is extremely rare with the employees of our company, so I snagged one hoping to treat my cats to a little. One of them growled at it, the other squatted over it and urinated on the offerings. They wouldn’t touch it. Not a good sign. Not sure if they mean Brazil as in the country, or Brazil as in the town in Indiana. The food offered would be more reflective of the mid-west bland and salty palette’s cravings. Ingredients-ton of salt, boiled or baked chicken with even more salt, Uncle Ben’s Instant Boil-In-A-Bag Rice, Johnsonville Smoked Sausage, Ore-Ida crispy fries with even more salt added, a WalMart bag of spring mix salad, and some hurriedly chopped cucumbers slathered in a watery mix of ranch dressing. Poor attempt at food; period.

This was my first time eating at Espadas de Brazil, and I had their Brazilian Hot Dog. The bread was soft, the hot dog was great, and the spicy mayo and potato in the hot dog was really good! It was a great size hot dog for the prize, and the staff was extremely friendly.
