Reviews
The restaurant was clearly packed and busy, but they graciously accommodated our extra 8th guest without hesitation, that kind of flexibility says a lot about how they treat their customers.
The food was incredible. Our server Camila was hands down the best part of the evening. She was attentive, timely, and gave us perfect recommendations. The mint pomegranate salad was refreshing and unique, the Turkish breads were outstanding, and the desserts were the perfect way to end the meal. Trust her suggestions, you won’t regret it.
Beyond the food and service, the little touches made it special. The staff took photos for our group and even let us linger after closing time to chat and enjoy the moment together. You could tell they genuinely cared about us having a great night, not just turning the table.
If you’re looking for amazing food, warm hospitality, and a team that goes above and beyond, Esnaf is it. Would recommend to anyone, especially for a celebration.
Nice Turkish wine by the glass: although the selection is a bit limited, the ones available were all good.
Bread refills throughout the meal. We’ve added it to our list of places to go back to.
Price is very reasonable, which in today’s SF Bay Area is increasingly rare. Portions are good — 2 big appetizers + 1 salad + 1 main course were more than sufficient for the two of us. And the waitresses would tell us not to order more so when we placed the order.
Nice selection of wine. The Turkish Sauvignon Blanc paired well with our dinner.
The bread was amazing. We had the hummus, crispy manti, and Kebab Trio which came with a lamachan as well.
Everything we ordered was delicious. I’d highly recommend this restaurant.
Don’t forget to save room for dessert.
I’m not sure how it is on weekdays but I definitely recommend making a reservation for the weekend. We went without one and had to wait a bit, but next time we’ll be sure to book in advance.
The fresh bread straight from the oven was amazing! I couldn’t get enough of it. The lamb chops were my favorite and very reasonably priced compared to many other places. The tahini pistachio ice cream was exceptional. It’s honestly surprising when a restaurant makes better ice cream than an actual ice cream shop. 🙂 We will definitely be back!!
