Welcoming, accommodating, relaxed atmosphere. The pizza is beyond amazing – premium ingredients, crunchy crust (no left-over pizza-bones! ). Gourmet vegetarian options! Beer on tap plus plenty more drink options.
Its just a smart layout, excellent use of space from hiking gear to thoughtfully assorted book offerings from maps to poetry. Do not pass this place up!!

This was our lunchtime pit stop en route to Torrey from Bryce Canyon. The place had been recommended by a staff member at the Escalante information center.
Give that man a pat on the back, the food was great and the place was full of locals. It was interesting to listen in to the happenings within the town.
All this whilst enjoying the spicy chicken sandwich with chips.
Brilliant.
We also managed to find some space for a piece of lemon and blueberrie cake. Very filling.
All-round very good.
It has a clothing, gift shop style general store as part of the building as well.

Excellent service and friendly staff. The food was amazing, the iced latte was delicious, and their lemon bar was the best i ever had! Wish I bought a few more for the drive back to San Diego! Highly recommend this place!

I had the Slick Rock Italian Cold Cut sandwich. It’s very good. A lot of meats, lettuce, tomato, cheese. There’s dining outside as well. You go fill up your own water for refills. It was busy which is a good sign. But the waitress never came back to check on us.

I love this place so much. Escalante Outfitters is a main hub in town. Good beta on roads, trails, and conditions, outstanding topo maps (ask for them!), gear, liquor, shoes and clothing, books. But the FOOD…! Huge fresh salads, wonderful after days of dehydrated meals. Such good pizza. Today I had a blt on housemade sourdough, safe for my dairy allergy, and it hit the spot. I give them business every time I’m in town.

We know Pizza. We are very used. But this pizza here is really perfect. We had it two days in a row and I am still thinking about to have it tomorrow again. Coffee and breakfast also very good. Beer from tap very good and please try the perfect carrot cake… and you meet always nice people there and of course a very friendly staff. Wouldn’t expect that here deep in the nowhere.
Edit 2022. – we were looking forward this place this year again and got awarded again. We love the place – the pizza – and the friendly staff, especially German Brigitte. CU on Sunday again.

Has to be one of the very best pizzas I have ever eaten. The crust was so amazing too. Great beer selection, great place! Also have a good liquor selection, a good selection of hiking and camping gear, cabins to rent, and you can grab a hot shower here for $11 with a towel and soap. Perfect stop in Escalante!

Good pizza! Lemon Berry cake was so damn good! Took a drive in frim state park campground for this place and was so worth it. Don’t hesitate to stop in. Attached is an outfitter for your hiking and camping needs. We’ll stocked and with some good quality products.
