Each plate is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with the finest, freshest ingredients, and presented with an artistic flair that elevates the dining experience to new heights.
The starters set the tone perfectly. The guacamole, made fresh at the table, is a symphony of flavors, with perfectly ripe avocados, zesty lime, and a hint of spice that leaves your taste buds dancing with joy. The ceviche is equally delightful, with tender seafood marinated to perfection, offering a refreshing burst of citrusy goodness.
The main courses are where Ernesto’s Fine Mexican Food truly shines. The mole poblano is a standout, with its rich, complex sauce made from a blend of chiles, chocolate, and spices, enveloping tender, succulent chicken. The tacos are a revelation, with a variety of fillings that cater to both traditionalists and adventurous eaters alike. Each taco is a perfect balance of textures and flavors, served on freshly made tortillas that are a testament to the restaurant’s dedication to authenticity.
For those seeking something hearty, the carnitas are a must-try. Slow-cooked to perfection, the pork is melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a crispy exterior that adds a delightful contrast. The accompanying sides, from the fragrant Mexican rice to the creamy refried beans, are executed flawlessly, rounding out the meal beautifully.
No meal at Ernesto’s Fine Mexican Food is complete without indulging in their decadent desserts. The churros, dusted with cinnamon sugar and served with a luscious chocolate dipping sauce, are the epitome of comfort food. The flan is silky smooth, with a caramelized top that adds just the right amount of sweetness.
The service is impeccable, with attentive, knowledgeable staff who are passionate about the food and eager to share their love of Mexican cuisine. Their recommendations are spot-on, ensuring that every guest leaves with a full belly and a smile on their face.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to savor the true essence of Mexico in every bite.
I grew up in Colorado eating Mexican food and this is top notch. Two types of salsas both quite good and the chips are good. Ordered the guacamole and it was excellent.
Off their house menu, we order the dish with chicken and shrimp and split it two ways. It was such a huge portions. The chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the rice was excellent as were the beans. All very homemade quality like by Mexican family. Everything was very fresh, including the vegetables that were on the plate.
The service was very good. At one point we had two people waiting on us and asking about the service.
The drinks were amazing. I had their margarita with sangria laced into it. That was really good and my girlfriend had the margarita with champagne bottle in it, see the photos. She loved it.
We came to Texas and wanted to eat barbecue and Mexican food while we were here for sure. This venue did not disappoint.
For entrees we ordered a Burrito and some vegetable Fajitas. The Burrito had just beans and cheese inside it, not even vegetables. The vegetable fajitas had no seasoning. Even after adding a lot of salt it still didn’t have enough seasoning on them. There were less of vegetables and more of mushrooms in it. The sides were good, and so were the tortillas, were soft and warm. Just wish the fajitas had seasoning. We ordered Tres Leches cake for dessert and we’re utterly disappointed. It was incredibly dry, it might have tasted good when they made it 10 days back, it tasted stale and dry.
We went on NYE, and want to thank the crew there for being so patient and working on a day. Will definitely go back on not such a busy day to check if there is a taste difference.
