Overall, the experience at Ernesto’s was delightful. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We went during a slower time of the day, which made the visit even more enjoyable since everything felt relaxed and unhurried. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere was comfortable. It’s a great spot for lunch if you’re looking for something flavorful and quick. I would definitely recommend stopping by.

Big flavors in a small friendly place. Austin was my server and he was superb. I had a great plate of shrimp, steamed veggies, rice, barrcho beans and a small salad with half an avocado on the plate…and they have Negro Modelo on tap! A great find!

We had high hopes since the reviews seemed good. I think Taco Bueno has more flavor unfortunately. Salsa was okay chips were probably the highlight of the meal. I ordered the chicken fajitas and they had no seasoning at all and were tough. The rice also had no flavor and was very dry. Hubby ordered enchiladas Tejana and they looked amazing and were okay. His rice was the same as mine. As for our waiter, he never checked on us or refilled our drinks. The atmosphere was chaotic and such a small waiting area with angry people waiting to be seated even when they hadn’t been waiting long. Won’t be back here.

Ernesto’s Fine Mexican Food is a vibrant culinary gem that transports you straight to the heart of Mexico with every bite. From the moment you step inside, the warm, inviting atmosphere and the tantalizing aroma of authentic Mexican cuisine embrace you, promising an unforgettable dining experience.

The menu is a celebration of Mexico’s rich culinary heritage, offering a diverse array of dishes that cater to all palates. Each plate is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with the finest, freshest ingredients, and presented with an artistic flair that elevates the dining experience to new heights.

The starters set the tone perfectly. The guacamole, made fresh at the table, is a symphony of flavors, with perfectly ripe avocados, zesty lime, and a hint of spice that leaves your taste buds dancing with joy. The ceviche is equally delightful, with tender seafood marinated to perfection, offering a refreshing burst of citrusy goodness.

The main courses are where Ernesto’s Fine Mexican Food truly shines. The mole poblano is a standout, with its rich, complex sauce made from a blend of chiles, chocolate, and spices, enveloping tender, succulent chicken. The tacos are a revelation, with a variety of fillings that cater to both traditionalists and adventurous eaters alike. Each taco is a perfect balance of textures and flavors, served on freshly made tortillas that are a testament to the restaurant’s dedication to authenticity.

For those seeking something hearty, the carnitas are a must-try. Slow-cooked to perfection, the pork is melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a crispy exterior that adds a delightful contrast. The accompanying sides, from the fragrant Mexican rice to the creamy refried beans, are executed flawlessly, rounding out the meal beautifully.

No meal at Ernesto’s Fine Mexican Food is complete without indulging in their decadent desserts. The churros, dusted with cinnamon sugar and served with a luscious chocolate dipping sauce, are the epitome of comfort food. The flan is silky smooth, with a caramelized top that adds just the right amount of sweetness.

The service is impeccable, with attentive, knowledgeable staff who are passionate about the food and eager to share their love of Mexican cuisine. Their recommendations are spot-on, ensuring that every guest leaves with a full belly and a smile on their face.

Ernesto’s Fine Mexican Food is more than just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of culture, tradition, and culinary excellence. If you’re going to Hutchins for BBQ and the line is around the block, come here!!!! That’s what we did and we weren’t disappointed.

I grew up in Colorado eating Mexican food and this is top notch. Two types of salsas both quite good and the chips are good. Ordered the guacamole and it was excellent.

Off their house menu, we order the dish with chicken and shrimp and split it two ways. It was such a huge portions. The chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the rice was excellent as were the beans. All very homemade quality like by Mexican family. Everything was very fresh, including the vegetables that were on the plate.

The service was very good. At one point we had two people waiting on us and asking about the service.

The drinks were amazing. I had their margarita with sangria laced into it. That was really good and my girlfriend had the margarita with champagne bottle in it, see the photos. She loved it.

We came to Texas and wanted to eat barbecue and Mexican food while we were here for sure. This venue did not disappoint.

Ernesto’s offers satisfactory cuisine, yet there seems to be room for improvement in terms of the service and waitstaff, which could benefit from some coaching. The ambiance within the restaurant is marred by an unpleasant odor. Over the past 8 months, I’ve visited this establishment approximately 5 times. Initially, I attributed the odor to a potential plumbing issue, but now it appears more likely to be related to inadequate cleaning practices. To avoid the disagreeable smell, we chose outdoor seating. Considering my experiences, I have no immediate plans to return to this location, as I am concerned about the cleanliness of the kitchen as well. Opting to visit the alternate McKinney location might be preferable if you wish to avoid the offensive odor and an unsatisfactory waitstaff.

We were seated immediately. Rest is located in Downtown Frisco, and parking was easy to find. The chips and the salsas were good. They were bland, but tasted good. The chips were crisp are awesome. We ordered the Chile Con Queso which tasted a bit like velveeta, but tasted good.

For entrees we ordered a Burrito and some vegetable Fajitas. The Burrito had just beans and cheese inside it, not even vegetables. The vegetable fajitas had no seasoning. Even after adding a lot of salt it still didn’t have enough seasoning on them. There were less of vegetables and more of mushrooms in it. The sides were good, and so were the tortillas, were soft and warm. Just wish the fajitas had seasoning. We ordered Tres Leches cake for dessert and we’re utterly disappointed. It was incredibly dry, it might have tasted good when they made it 10 days back, it tasted stale and dry.

We went on NYE, and want to thank the crew there for being so patient and working on a day. Will definitely go back on not such a busy day to check if there is a taste difference.

Popped in for a quick bite. First time going. Staff was great and the street tacos were good. Really enjoyed the flavor and the beans were very good. Seasoning was definitely some of the best I’ve had at any Mexican spot. Food came quickly and also had a couple of margaritas on the rocks. We will be back for sure.

From the moment I walked in the service was amazing. Daniel assisted our table and was very nice and attentive. The food was phenomenal. The salsa wasn’t too spicy with just the right amount of kick. I tried the stuffed jalapeños and they were delicious. The brisket and steak tacos were tender and flavorful. They also give you huge portions. If I didn’t live so far away this would def be a place I would visit on a regular
