I was sitting in the Dairy Queen parking lot when I decided to give this local spot a chance. That was definitely a mistake. The girls working were nice but I ordered my food and sat down to wait for it, they brought it out and sat it on the front counter without letting me know. My food sat there for 15 minutes before someone finally told me it was mine. Next as you can see from the pictures the food was appalling. My hotdog looked like death, the bun just crumbled. The cream chicken sandwich was way too salty and had absolutely no flavor. I asked one of the girls what it was and she had no clue. The onion rings were just your standard store bought onion rings. The price of everything was way too high for the quality of the food. This is very unfortunate. Hopefully they do better next time.

Clean, good sized ice cream parlor. Plenty of in house made flavors to choose from. I’m boring and got a small vanilla milkshake, haha! I It was good though and I was very surprised at how quickly it was made and brought to me. also tried the cheese-curds. They are good but you may not care for them if you don’t like things with a bit of a spicy kick. It was mild but noticeable. They also serve a small variety of other comfort foods (i.e. hotdogs, onion rings etc.) There is a drive through window offering some more convenience. This location shares a building with a local bank. Good atmosphere and lighting. Has an outdoor patio with three tables. Inside the tables/chairs/stools are 50’s style. I would visit again.

I really enjoyed visiting the ice cream spot with my daughter. They had a wide selection of flavors and combinations and I had a hard time making my mind up. Fortunately I can always come back and try something new next time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back and make my tummy smile!

The staff is always attentive and joyful. Food or ice cream is always delicious and bountiful. With all the choices available, it’s hard not to grab something for yourself when making a pit stop! The environment is always welcoming and clean. Sometimes the machines go down, but I can understand that with how busy they can get on a regular basis! And they are always on a quick turn around to get things fixed so it’s never a long let down when a machine is down.
With 2 locations in Defiance, and a mobile truck for venues or events, Eric’s Ice Cream is a town favorite.

Love this place. That said, the other door leading to the bank is odd, so enter left or from the patio. The food is not anything to write home about, but it is a dairy bar. The ice cream is decent. I personally don’t know what amazing ice cream is, and I’ve had supposedly great stuff. I like ice cream, and this fits the bill fine, plus they have plenty of opinions.

We were looking for ice cream on a family road trip and Eric’s Ice Cream Factory had outstanding reviews. We decided to detour and we were not disappointed. It completely lived up to all the hype! Friendly employees that allowed for lots of sampling, plenty of both classic and unique flavors to choose from, and generous but not ridiculous serving sizes. We enjoyed delicious ice cream and made some great memories together!
