This place looked like it was going out of business or under construction. Saying the food was awful is an understatement. For the cost, I actually can’t believe how it looked. Will never return. This is an ultimate Philly spent 46 dollars here on 2 meals and a kids meal I’m mad at myself for not complaining

Ordered through door dash. Bread was stale and hard, I paid extra for avocado and I got a literal micro spread of it. No cheese. Paid for that too. Soup tasted bitter and old too. Never ordering here again.

This is one of my favorite sandwich chains. Before I had food sensitivities, I used to love getting the 1/2 sandwich and soup cup combo with chicken and dumplings soup or cream of chicken wild rice soup. I can no longer have wheat, so I like that they have a pretty good GF bread here. This store location has very limited hours, and I felt the food was quite overpriced ($16 for sub, chips, drink combo with a mediocre tasting sub), but I was pleased with good customer service as the worker agreed to serve me 2 min before close and was quite quick making my sandwich (very simple order at least.) I enjoyed the outdoor table.

I went here for lunch and ordered the brisket sandwich. For $9.50 you would think the meat portion would be a little bigger than a quarter pound of brisket. That’s the last time I go to this sandwich shop. Look at this sandwich and tell me this isn’t over priced for almost $10 dollars!

Very disappointed this time. 1 slice of turkey on my #9. Not trying to eat a sandwich with only cheese, lettuce, mayo and avocado on it. I had to fold up the one slice of turkey to get only 2 bites of the sandwich. Waste of my time and money unfortunately. Otherwise I normally love there sandwiches. I’m working so I don’t have time to go back and complain. I hate leaving bad reviews.

Before I start: I’m not lost on the fact that writing a sandwich shop review of this length might seem sort of odd. But I think the people who work here deserve some public praise for the great job they do.
This particular Erbs location is the best I have visited in many years. If you’re looking for what a fair-priced franchise sandwich shop lunch spot is supposed to be, walk in here. I feel like I’m transported back to the mid-2000s before complacency and worker shortages hurt quality across the industry.
They absolutely nail their French bread, which has a thin golden outer crust and is fluffy and white inside. This has been consistent over years of lunches here. The sandwiches are always well constructed and balanced, never sloppy or soggy. The staff are really nice and fast too.
These should be basic expectations of a lunch spot, but with how a lot of these shops have slid over the last decade, the quality really shines here. This place is run by great workers.

I can always rely on this Erbert and Gerberts’ location for a well made sandwich, warm soup or mac, and friendly service. They are timely about fulfilling orders, and I know that I will be able to place my order and enjoy my meal within my work lunch period. The subs are made with care and not just thrown together, the ingredients taste balanced, and worth the value. The staff seems to take good care of keeping the store clean and tidy. Good amount of parking available as well.

Ordered delivery last week and typed in my company’s name but there was no delivery instruction box which I usually need to give clarification for the driver to find my workplace. I tried calling after I ordered but no answer. I never received a call from the driver and the food was never delivered. I have called each day since and even left a message but still no answer or call back. I was charged and received no food and I am going to have to go into their store to receive a refund.
