Reviews
As for the food and drinks. Everyone said their Pull My Daisy (Gin), On the Road (Bourbon), and Coco & Marco (pistachio tequila and matcha) which was my fav are all pretty popular! They tasted soo good some on the sweeter side but all crafted very well.
As for food, I had some friends come with larger groups and everyone recommends the branzino and lamb ribs. I just came with one other friend and we didn’t think we would be able to eat that much. So we actually started with the Green Cioppino which we REALLY liked. It was the perfect tanginess and the amount of seafood and the toast that went with it, I usually don’t go for Cioppino but I highly recommend this one! We then got the tempura mushrooms and fries to nibble on while drinking. For dessert we got their vanilla panna cotta that had mango and passion fruit puree. All lovely items, I can’t wait to go back to try their branzino and lamb ribs.
The staff are all super friendly and kind. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, can’t wait to come back!
Cocktails (5/5): We tried the Ta Ta Tini (bright tomato riff on a classic martini), Pull My Daisy (smoky & delicious from the grilled pineapple and chili), What Da Fig (unique melon notes) and Al Papaya (mix of saline from the foam + freshness from the papaya was ). Some of the most delicious cocktails I’ve had in the city. I will be coming back for these alone!
Food (1/5): The mushroom tempura was quite good, but it was downhill from there. The delicate & kabocha squash dish was not balanced and came cold — the celery + onion puree with the pomegranate vinegar smelt spoiled, making it impossible to eat. I think it’s the sulphuric compounds in the celery + onion reacting with the vinegar. Alternatively, maybe it sat out for too long and de facto fermented. Lastly, the fried chicken was extremely dry and lacked flavor. I know they’ve just opened so I would probably give the food another go in a few months.
Vibes (5/5): Beautiful restaurant, ambience was great.
Service (3/5): We had 3 different waiters serve us, I think based on capacity? I didn’t love that since they kept asking what course we were on, if we wanted drinks when we’d just ordered drinks, etc. It is a much more cohesive dining experience when you have a dedicated waiter IMO, but this is likely just the process of opening. Our primary waitress asked us to give feedback a few times at the start while ordering but then never came back around to ask for that feedback (hence the review!) because I do think this restaurant has the potential to be incredible.
Came for the decor but the food totally delivered too. Everything was top notch, especially the octopus — don’t skip it. Drinks were unreal. Like honestly, even if you’re just out in North Beach and want one really good cocktail, this is the move. It has a cool nightlife energy but still works perfectly for a chill date night.
It feels exclusive in a good way, like a destination spot hidden in the middle of the neighborhood. There’s really nothing else like it around here. I’m already planning future date nights and I can’t wait for brunch — looks like they’ve got an outdoor space that’s going to be amazing. Definitely a new favorite.
Got to give a shout out to the chef too, that woman’s got amazing amazing culinary skills.
Love the place you will too
